Do you have any idea how many children are in the system waiting to be adopted in the U.S. alone? Not to mention all the children from other countries in addition?

http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/cb/...waiting2006.htm

Children in Public Foster Care Waiting to be Adopted 2006 - 126,967

That number is consistent too. An astounding number of children are left to rot in the system. Being with two loving individuals in a home where they will be given attention and a place to feel like they belong, whether it be 2 men, 2 women, or a man and a woman, is WAY WAY better than leaving them in foster care.

As though homosexuals are incapable of being inadequate parents.

I hate this notion that homosexual parents automatically equals a swell childhood.

Apparently up-bringing from heterosexual parents didn't help you appreciate the weak points of a straw-man logical fallacy.

Nobody's claimed that. Foster parents are unproven. There are good ones and bad ones, and their sexual orientation isn't important. However, if a child is in fostercare, their biological parents have already proven to be unsuitable. It really isn't a difficult concept to grasp.

I know exactly what a strawman argument is.

Apparently being against homosexual marriage = a closet case, an idiot.

Yeah. Nobody's claimed that. But it's more than obvious that that's what they're implying.

Not that I have a problem with a child being raised by homosexual parents, as I already stated that in my earlier posts.

I agree with SYSTEM-J here... as long as the parents are stable and put the child first, there should be no problems.

No they aren't. Read the context of the thing you're quoting. Hal wasn't even rebuking the notion that homosexuals could be bad parents. He was rebuking the notion that a kid being picked on at school for having gay foster parents is worse than leaving them in an orphanage.

Okay, I'll concede to that.

Its funny up until the day I calculated just how many of these leeches I support each year with my taxes. Yes that's right, we do contribute to society... in some cases more than others

Hey guys, what are your opinions on Metrosexuals being able to adopt?

Posted by ivofivo on Jan-31-2010 02:23:

1)To be gay is a luxury and not a necessity. Luxuries are irrelevant and in most cases unneeded.

2)If you are gay, and flare up when somebody opposes your ways, it would be almost impossible for you to prove your point. Basic psychology.

3)I don't see gay marriage as a legit practice to the society, because it filters many aspects of the society, such as; adoption, religion, and basically the plan of all breathing living organisms. (most).

Except you assume your premises are based in truth, when they are not, because truth is not absolute. So basically, you're wrong.

"because truth is not absolute"- jp

And I guess the support of gays is a white lie.

FFS there is more to life than just pro-creating!

This is what makes us different from animals!!

All this "homo is unnecessary, unnatural" crap comes from us thinking the only purpose is to keep the human race going.

And even if it is down to that, there is more to be done than just producing children.
