I got sick and didn't workout for about a week and a half, started up again yesterday, did legs and abs....my hamstrings are killing me....and I'm about to go do an upper body workout.
Been back at the gym for four weeks now.
Eating relatively healthy, only drinking water, and doing HIIT with weights.
I'm already getting great results.
Drinking water is for fish, fish.
Now GIMME your cocktail....FRUIT.
I've seen that movie so many times, and just watched it again recently. I knew that most of it was filmed in Toronto - the most obvious scene being the one where Harland Williams kills the horse (on Yonge St, outside of a Pizza Pizza across from the legendary Sam the Record Man)...but as I watched I recognized so many more places. For example, The Guvernment nightclub complex. Couldn't believe I didn't realize it until now, lol.
But yeah. Been steadily going to the gym since the second week of January. I go pretty much every day now. Cardio and weights every other day, with a half hour to 40 minutes of cardio or a class (spin, boot camp, muscle) on the days I don't lift weights.
I figure I'm not really doing much else with my time/days off. Might as well kill 30-40 minutes at the gym. Could be doing worse things!
The best thing about being in shape is how easy it is to get back into shape when you haven't worked out in a while, heh. I noticed results fairly quickly.

The scene where they go to the club to sell drugs? Lol.

That whole scene you can recognize (the old) exit hallway + coat check windows, the (old) Orange Room, and the (old) main room. I guess you were never there before 2004/5?
Yeah I think 2006 was the first year I went.
Also the hallway between the Orange Room and main room.
Added about half an inch to each arm this week.. And loads of shoulder muscle. Blargh, fucking stretch marks coming in right away, gotta do lighter weights and more reps instead.. blargh.. fucking collagen doesn't work right

I would shoot myself before running on the treadmill for an hour.
What a boring fucking workout.
unhappy much?
I prefer running outside to treadmills, but either way, it's a great time to catch up on music.
How the fuck do you guys keep up the motivation?
I have to add on about 30-40 lbs of muscle in the next year and a half or so. And it's fucking tiresome lol. The only good thing is that my pre-pumped and pumped muscles (lol wording) are drastically different, so you kinda see some instant results. I mean, with the new core exercises I got from my manual therapist, after a work out session, I could definitely fit into a Backstreet Boys poster. Easy.
Thinking of maybe trying some of those fancy powder stuff, in addition to my general weight gain diet, but I've got no idea where to begin with that stuff lol. Not enough meth-bonds for me to have taken an interest
anyone who can recommend some stuff?
gym today. wanna do some clean and presses and general shoulder exercises. then maybe a little chest stuff and end it all of with abs. i'll be back tonight with a review.
Oh yeah. Working out right now. Doing some cardio. I need a whole plan though. I want to get lean and mean.

| This winter I've been at the gym every day of the week just about, even if it's just a half hour a day to do a bit of cardio. I figure I'm not doing anything else anyway - and there are 24 hours in a day, can afford at least one for exercise. |
Anywho, that's pro if that includes saturdays and sundays too. I take it you don't live too far off from your gym then?
i only do cardio and stretching. Don't really see the point of more muscle.

I take it you don't live too far off from your gym then? I personally invested a couple of thousands in some gear, as the 15 min drive to the gym turned my back into crooked-ass lock-fuck, pretty much rendering any workout useless. Plus the gym was like at a physiotherapist so it was always filled with like 33+ women who were just eye-fucking the shit out of me. liekjeezlouise i guess im tucking it back next time. So now I work out any chance I get. Motivation's been lacking a bit lately, but I guess it's jsut a matter of clearing my head of unwanted bullshit, and I guess I'm well on my way to do that :=) Harajt! Gonna eat, then lift weights. |
Do eet. The money you'll save on gas will have paid for the bike in no time, plus you'll never get stuck in traffic ever again. Oh and you can put obscene stickers on peoples cars without them noticing.
But remember to get a helmet too.
Welp, the new years resolutioners are starting to drop off, thank goodness. No more packed gym and fucktards taking up time on the equipment. And by that I mean, people sitting on benches, etc. not doing anything aside from fiddling with their ipods.
I actually have grown to enjoy some of the classes, although most of the instructors play shit music. I wanted to pull a Dennis + Dee and just plug my own music in.
selma has started stretching....
her cooter so things dont get jammed in there and they just naturally fall out
I've started doing Insanity Cardio Abs. omg.
