yeah, her acting in gattaca was ok, but overall the movie was shit. Have you noticed that in every movie that Natalie Portman was in when she was younger she played the object of affection for an older man??? In "The Professional" it was a very sublte trist, but in "Beautiful Girls" she basically tells him to wait for her to turn 18, quite odd if you ask me

Ya I noticed.

She was (and still is) a very attractive bird.

But it was the "old soul" that made marty so damn appealing in Beautiful Girls. One thing I never got about that movie.....why in the hell does Matt Dillon cheat on Mira Sorvino with Lauren Holly? Mira Sorvino is so many levels better than Lauren Holly on her worst day.

I think he did it because it was like something he could never have. A rich woman who lived in a nice house and had an upscale life whereas Mira Sorvino was on his same level of wealth and society. I think he just wanted to experience how the other half lived bu sleeping into it

too bad you missed kill bill, it was fantastic! so much fun to watch. i like reservoir dogs a lot until the cop gets his ear cut off and set on fire. violence usually doesn't bother me too much, but that was really bad.
