I've just started working out last monday and I'm already starting to see some results (on the machines). Just wish me luck in keeping the motivation going longer than 2-3 weeks though, that's the toughest part.

according to the bmi calculator i'm 'overweight' by point and a half. i wonder how accurate it is...

* Underweight = <18.5
* Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
* Overweight = 25-29.9
* Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

im 26.5

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-02-2009 01:02:

The scale at my gym says I weigh 126, and the scale at my work says I weigh 120. I weighed myself on each scale not even a day apart.

At any rate...going by my work scale, I've lost 10 pounds...cause on that one I was 130 just after Christmas. The scale at the gym must be set to high to keep people coming back or something, cause there's no fucking way I weighed 136 pounds, lol.

Posted by winston on Feb-02-2009 01:07:

ok, i might need to start drinking coffee with less sugar in it.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-02-2009 01:09:

Do everything with less sugar in it.

Posted by winston on Feb-02-2009 01:31:

BMI = 22.3

Normal weight = 18.5-24.9

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-02-2009 01:48:

I already know my BMI. Read the previous page.

You're. You might want to exercise your brain once in awhile too, meathead.

your weight can fluctuate by a couple pounds depending on when you weight yourself. also sometimes the scales at the gym are broken because the crazies get mad that they weight more than they think they should...

I know...I'm aware of water weight as well. That's why I made a point to say that it wasn't even a day apart that I weighed myself. 10 pounds is not just a couple pounds, either.

In reality, I think both scales are fucked. I'm gonna weigh myself on the proper scales in the nursing lab at school tomorrow.

I weigh 126 right now and I'm 5'3". Which makes my BMI 22.3....which is still totally within my healthy range. But I don't like fat hanging over the top my jeans.

As long as you have big tits, a little softness is ok...

If you can do more than six, it's too light, less than 4, too heavy. Rest at least 2 min between sets. Do the exact same thing with the incline presses, but without the warmup sets this time. Same thing with declines, only scratch the warmups again. Three sets on each exercise, heavier weight, 4-6 reps. Try it out. I am. Also get rid of the flys and crossovers. I don't know if you're seing gains now, but you're going to overtrain doing so many exercises just for chest after a while.

Note that i'm pretty much assuming you want to get stronger and/or bigger. And I don't know what your maxes are so that's why I say whatever is good for 4-6 reps, no more no less. Make sure you find a weight and stick with that one though in all three 'work' sets. Increase that weight as you get stronger. It may take a while, even weeks to figure what this weight will be for you on each exercise. I've done this method for a week so far and I still am having trouble calibrating the right amount of weight that will keep me under 6 and above 4 for three sets.

This is a terrible program. If you want to get big and strong, go to Louie Simmons' www.westside-barbell.com and search youtube for their videos. Soon, you won't be talking about benching 225, but 300 and up. I'm working on breaking 600 with an Inzer RageX shirt. I've been working on this program for awhile, but just got the shirt and am still learning to use it.

I do. Or by how my clothes fit. I'm only weighing myself to get an idea of my progress...otherwise I don't give a fuck about my weight. Heh.

Posted by Sammy V on Feb-04-2009 02:15:

So you look good naked?

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-04-2009 02:22:

Yeah I look pretty good. I'm comfortable.

What do you guys listen to when exercising?

I tend to listen to way cheesier and more energetic stuff than i normally do. Loving Astrix - Artcore atm.

TRANCE....mostly but depends on what i'm doing. been listening to house though while doing my actual exercises not cardio. when i do cardio i prefer trance and live sets actually. markus schulz is a favorite of mine but i'll thrown on old school sets too or listen to stuff by marco v and sander van doorn. i love above & beyond but not really the best for working out.
