But ya great time, you should of been there

yeah i know i shoulda gone hehehe. i'm just trying to conserve the money right now. next time ferry is out here though i'm definitely gonna go. even though i'm not the hugest trance fan these days...i'm sure he can throw down hehehe.

glad you guys had a great time . it was probably better that i wasn't there standing around like my usual boring self ruining all the fun hahah

I'm a little bit over Ferry's sound. I find it a bit monotonous nowadays. Very few "trance" djs impress me nowadays. I think it's a problem of poor production in the genre right now. I still think Armin is alright, but I don't groove out to him like I do to Hernan or Sander, or Max G, for example.

Anyone going to The Church tonight, to see Rank 1?

I just moved back, if I go, I have to go alone, none of my friends here in Denver like clubbing. Has anyone ever seen Rank1 before, and are they pretty good live?

Thanks

It's a dj set not a live pa, that being said, I'm not going. Never heard anything good about rank1 dj sets...If it were live, it would be a different story....

Yeah, I guess I wanted to support Trance in Denver, since it seems like there's a lot of house. I don't think I'll go, since I have a lot of stuff to do tonight. you and I have the same Birthday BTW. lol

you know what... i was actually surprised by their set. Had a fuckin blast again tonight! 2 nights in a row, both great times, a new record!!!

Tonights Review:
Warm-up DJs were Hycloud and Goofe doing a tag set, fuckin loved it! Goofe threw down Deep Dish - Say Hello (i finally got enough cash to order this record, cant wait til it arrives)!! sounds sooooooo good at the club! of course with Hycloud's style is more trancey prog mixed with Goofe's lil housey side fun times

Rank 1, Piet spun some great tunes, plenty of classics of course. Tunes that i can remember: Airwave (Original), Greece 2000, Made of Sun (KvA Hard Dub), Dark Side of the Moon (FUCKIN LOVED IT!!!! That made my night), Delerium - Silence, and fuck i can't remember anything else lol! but to say the least i would bet their live PA would be much better.

So overall... I had a fucking blast!!! tee hee

Where did you order it? Can't find it on any of the normal sites (Chem, Juno, 4djs, etc...) and it isn't listed on Yoshitoshi as being out yet either?

How was Rank 1's mixing as well?

And btw, when the FUCK is Max G & Jessica Riddle-I Know You're Gone (or whatever the hell they decided it is now) gonna be released? It's like it's being released on Vandit or something

Check out DanceRecords thats where i got the record, its on Positiva as a promo i believe.

Piet did some awesome and flawless transitions, out of the whole night the only time i was like WTF? was from the Outer Space song into some other tune. it was matched perfectly and everything but it didnt seem to flow that well.

FYI: I got real blasted last night at a party in Boulder. There were 16 kegs, 2 ice luges, 3 three story beer bongs, three lit beer pong tables and a roasted pig. Long story short...I'm really hungover.

I thought he was decent. A couple sloppy mixes, but I've seen worse. All in all it was a pretty good show.

Anyone going to Jan Johnston on Friday?

Ferry Corsten was great.. He appeared to be really hyped up and into it but he always seems to be that way. However, my brother and I left early because the crowd sucked. Not that I usually care, but every time I started dancing or getting into it some drunk off his ass would run into us asking us to move or random girls would ask us to buy them drinks. I don't usually mind all that but I was really excited to see Ferry and the crowd mainly was just a bunch of clubbers with no clue about Ferry. That was all I could take and plus I had class at nine the following morning, so we left at 1.00..

I'd like to add that The Church is an good club and I hope to go back again but next time hopefully I can get a in the middle of the crowd and not be bugged every two minutes.

They were off at times and played too many vocals. These were some of the trax I remembered.

Ridgewalkers Find
Filo & Peri feat. Fisher - Closer now (Whiteroom Remix)
Rank 1 Airwave (original)
Ernesto Vs Bastian - Dark Side Of The Moon
Jase From Outta Space - Do What You Want (Infusion Mix)
Three Drives - Greece 2000 (Dj Shog Remix)
Perasma - Swing 2 Harmony (rmx?)
Kyau Vs Albert - Made Of Sun (KVA Hard Dub)
Igor S Boomerang
Delerium - Silence (A&B rmx)

I really wanted to hear [email protected] & Rank 1 Vs Johan Gielen - Dreamchild ... but they didn't play it

Hahahahaha, welcome to Denver Seriously, if you don't hear someone idiot in line asking why cover is more expensive when paying @ the door for a major DJ, it isn't a night out in D-Town.

I hate going to the Church anymore, not b/c of the club itself, but it attracts such bullshit crowds anymore, I'd estimate about 10 people out of all of them there for the music lol. But they do keep bringing the lineups, so I keep going.

I think I have that Jasefos track. Got a sampler vinyl with it, Swing to Harmony, Mercury and Solace and one other track.

besides, just because the infusion was first does not make it better, maxys afterhours in montreal track is likely cooler. (not the version that will be on isos4, but the normal mg remix is pretty ace too|

Posted by farley on Apr-26-2005 00:26:

Max G's Third Street remix of JFos was the one and only track I played @ Erik's bday, and I concur; it's fucking ace times your mother +68.
