where are you originally from?

Yeah that's when it was!! And I saw you earlier that night at the TA meetup spot (my friends and I were near there). Fucking weird -_-. Did you cut your hair since then cuz I remember it being longer, and mine was too .

My background is a little strange... mostly Russia but some German and Ukrainian. I was born in Haifa cuz my parents moved to freaking Israel for some reason or another. And then sort of moved around Europe and finally settled here in Canada... yay.

Haha for a while I was getting tired of explaining to people that I'm not you, and HOW I'm not you.. and then it sort of became routine .

A little late on the review...I've been on 7hours sleep from Sunday night to today

I knew right away when I went out to the 9yr that I wasn't going to see Ferry 'cause of tests I needed to prepare for.

Unfortunately, I heard Ferry dropped a set to remember..Damn. But the night wasn't totally wasted.
Timo was wikked IMO, even though he's not my style, I heard some of the hardest hitting bass driven techno
ever.

As for the TA's, there were way too many I met on Sunday for me to name. Plus I wouldn't want to forget any
names. Nice meeting all of you! TA's represent big time!

I think I'll watch a bit of the hockey game tonight then hit my bed to dream about me missing Ferry, and when he dropped
Veracocha - Carte Blanche

nope.. no direction whatsoever.. just saying it in general..
this is just an ongoing thing in review threads lately and it is getting kind of old...
If I were directing that at you I would have said so, so it's all good.

So are you actually Jewish?

I'm only asking this cause you told me that you were from Israel, so I assumed that you were Jewish, and thus couldn't realy understand why you would wear a CCCP shirt if you were from Israel (I have a pet peeve of non-Russkis wearing the USSR shirts). But if your background is Russian then you had every right to wear it.

Nope, not a drop of Jewish blood in my bloodline. My parents were just there for some reason and BAM, I was conceived. It's really fucked up. Pisses most Canadian Jews off that I speak better Hebrew than they do .

*grabs USSR t-shirt from closet and puts it on*

Thanks for pointing out an obvious fact . I was referring to the Canadian Jews who went to Hebrew school as children and can't catch the pronounciations etc you would only get if you were immersed in the language or very linguistic.

See how absurd this looks from the other end of the conversation?

First, it wasn't a country. (I know you already know this, but I felt like being a smartass anyway)

Second, I'm well aware USSR wasn't just composed of Russia.

Third, I don't mind people who were part of USSR wearing it, but when I see a Canadian or an American or something wearing that, it just drives me up the wall. Communism wasn't and isn't 'cool' - I see it as a person diminishing the seriousness of what was happening during USSR. I'd never wear a Che Guevara shirt - because then instead of being a revolutionary, he becomes some pop icon on the level of Blink 182.

o god.. another retarted debate starting... glad its in the Guv review..add some more pages of mindless nonsense.

OK so how then is it ok for a "russian" to wear it if your opinion is that the whole idea of the USSR is bad?

Shouldnt you be saying that no one should be wearing it? Whats the diff if a russian wears it because its cool or a canadian?

Isnt that called racism?

Hey, I didn't mean to offend in any way. It's just a shirt mate lighten up. It was actually part of a set. Me and my buddy usually dress up silly. He had a "Red Army" shirt on with camo pants as well. :P
