that was the first time ever, in 603 appearances, that Wagner allowed 6 baserunners in one inning

Jeter going for his 2000th hit starting tonight (if the game doesn't get rained out)

I think the Yankees should allow him to grow back his super mullet. That real curly one he had with the M's.

Jeter getting his 2000th hit is pretty cool. With the rest of this year and probably 5 more years he'll be at 3,000. I wonder how much more he can get over that. He's really having a great year by the way. Jeter is awesome. He's the Anti-Rod.

if Barroid doesn't hit #715 either this weekend or during this coming week, he'll have a chance to do so at Shea next weekend (June 2-4)
Before the season started, who thought it would take so long for him to do so?

well its cause he can t get anymore of his power pills LOL the pitcher felt bad for him an lobbed an easyone down the middle thats how he got to 714

Posted by partyhopper on May-26-2006 19:27:

other noteable milestones likely to happen this year among the locals
3000 K's for Pedro
400 HR's for Delgado
300 saves for Wagner

Curt Schilling could be going for his 200th win, against the Yanks (probably June 7), if he doesn't win either of his next 2 starts

Derek Jeter just got his 2000th hit, on a swinging bunt
the catcher overthrew the ball to 1B, but it was ruled a hit

Posted by partyhopper on May-27-2006 04:14:

The worst team in baseball Royals snap a 13-game losing streak by beating the Yanks
They also ended a 14-game Yankee Stadium losing streak

When play was suspended in the middle of the 9th, I thought the Yanks were going to come back, which they almost did.

Posted by partyhopper on May-28-2006 03:23:

Schilling won't get win #200 in Yankee Stadium, because he got it today in a 6-4 win over the Devil Rays

Posted by partyhopper on May-28-2006 21:18:

and Barroid won't hit #715 in Shea, because he did it today, on the last game of a homestand
funny that it came off Byung-Hyun Kim, who gives up yet another big home run
Luckily for Kim that it didn't blow a lead or break a tie in the game this time

Posted by partyhopper on May-28-2006 23:47:

Mo needs just more 10 saves for 400

And while you do that, I will cheer for him or maybe just be indifferent.

Yanks go from playing the worst team in baseball to facing the best team (at least based on record). Should be interesting to see how they do against the Tigers.
