| Originally posted by StanVoid exactly, he doesn't take it overboard - because if he were to start getting truly fancy with Abelton's vast features, the show would turn into a software showcase, not a concert. Paul utilizes the program for all the right reasons and at all the right times - he'll mix up a vocal from one track with a beat from another (ATRC example), he'll go on a quick and dirty mixing spree and phase between 3 or 4 tracks in just 10 minutes, he'll put a phaser or a distortion unit on a track's breakdown here and there, etc. But he varies all these and brings them in at the right times, not doing it too much - and not too seldomly. He doesn't try to be Zabiella, filling a set with countless tricks, loops, and effects. This works for me, and I truly loved Paul's Saturday set. |

this is where its at
Does anyone know the name of the really hard electro style track he played on Friday night towards the beginning? I thought it was Nick Terranova - Electro Fuck, but it's not. It's harder and faster. I'm baffled!
Maybe a remix of Marcel Woods - time is running out
Wish there was a reliable tracklist somewhere in the pages upon pages of this thread.........
