pffft

As for the Pistons-Raps game...wtf was up with Carters mom sitting courtside?? LOL Other than that the game was pretty boring. I'm surprised we won to be honest.

Looking at the boxscore for tonight's game.

Wow. Low scoring game.

Humphries with 18 boards, 9 offensive. Are you kidding me?

MoPete played 5 mins, no points. Since I don't think he wants to be a bench player (and he's good enough to start for 3/4 of teams) I guess he's def. out of Toronto.

Forecast says Raps vs Wiz first round.
Raps win.

Another win coming up

i'm a bit of a fantasy nut, and it seems there are some hardcore nba tota fans, so i would like to commish and organize one next yr!

I'd be in! It's my 2nd year playing in an NBA one mostly with people at work...it's fun and you end up paying more attention to the NBA and learn a lot about the game in general.

I finished 4th out of 14 during the regular season, but lost 1st round in the playoffs thanks to Mike Miller being injured during a week where Memphis had 5 scheduled games

So the Raps have clinched third and will have home court in the 1st round...nice.

also good to see that the Raps signed Luke Jackson for next year. smart move...low risk and potentially big payoff. I guess that pretty means that MoPete is likely going to end up elsewhere next year as a free agent.

And with the very public praise of the GM, it sure looks like Sam Mitchell will be signed after the season. of players away from potentially being a title contender?

not a bad week, I'd say!

I'd say one key inside defender/rebounder away from title in 2 yrs IMO. Actually, not even then if Graham, Humphries and Bargnani can prove next yr that they can crash the glass on consistent basis.

I say this because a lot of key players are still learning the game. Bosh is still learning! Crazy talk I tell you.

Imagine KG as a Rap... *drool*
Will have to give up too much to get him though.

Chuck was saying NJ, I'd rather Wiz to be honest. lol

haha...I've had the same dream in my head. Garnett is *exactly* what this team needs. Then again, what team couldn't use a player like KG, lol, but he address every need that the Raps have...rebounding, blocking and defense. Good fucking luck to the team defending a frontcourt of Bosh, Bargnani and Garnett, lol.

the need to match salary $$$ and the talent the Raps would have to give up make it next to impossible though. A quick glance at the salary list and what Minnesota neesd (everything)...TJ, Graham + Rasho? I'd do it and I'm sure the T-Wovles would too

a starting lineup of Calderon, Parker/Dixon, Garnett, Bosh and Bargnani = instant contender.

Dwight Howard would be a nice fit too (an even more unrealistic dream, I suppose, haha)

hell yeah...without Arenas and Butler, Washington looks pretty damn vulnerable to being swept.

it would be pretty satisfying to beat Vince in the 1st round though. If it happened on home court, could you imagine the shit he would face from the crowd?

my desire to see that is tempered by how bad it would suck to see the huge smirk on Vince's face if NJ beat the Raps though.

All it takes is Humphries standing in Vince's way a few times.
Vince whimpers.

More worried about Jefferson than Carter if the Raps do play the Nets

it's not going to happen. the nets are weaksauce. no frontline, and virtually no bench. they need miracle efforts (eg. vince and kidd both having triple doubles) to win games these days.

Raps - Nets in first round.

Not the best matchup for difficulty, but I have to say, I was hoping for this matchup come the end of the season. With all the fan hatred for Vince, this is gona be one helluva show.

Posted by Yohan on Apr-19-2007 03:03:

Just read the box score.

Luke Jackson dropping 30? Wow.

76ers suck, but for a guy picked up for free...

Ya no doubt...

I'm thinkin the Raps in 6

Posted by Yohan on Apr-19-2007 17:22:

I want to see Graham, Humphries and Pape Sow make Carter cry.

Put a body on that guy. Let him shoot free throws but make him pay every time.

Posted by Porky on Apr-19-2007 18:41:

the raptors/nets series is going to be awesome!

i wonder how loud ACC can be, i wonder how much vince will be disrespected?

Posted by MarkT on Apr-19-2007 19:27:

home court appears to be huge...

I think Toronto and NJ split the season series 2-2 with the home team always winning by 10+ points.

Ideal scenario...Raps in 5, clinching at home...and when Vince goes to hug MoPete at the end, MoPete slaps him across the face

Posted by TRANCEEEE on Apr-19-2007 19:33:

I like that scenario!

Game 1 tix w0t w0t!'

i hope the TO boo-birds will stfu for once realizing that booing a player will only motivate them to further thrash one's team..

Exactly! I was at the game when Carter made his return to Toronto...that was priceless! So many people wearing Diapers and booing and stuff...but thats understandable since it was his first game back...

But this is the playoffs. Carter feeds off of our negativity..instead of spending all of their energy booing Carter, they need to cheer as much for the Raptors and show them that we fully support them...

Got my Tickets yesterday for Game #2!! I also have access to game #5 but i'm not going to be here

My Prediction:

Raptors in 6...this is going to be one hell of a series! To bad i'm not going to be able to watch most of the NBA playoffs only the first few games...

Posted by Yohan on Apr-21-2007 18:37:

Holy nail biting time

Posted by above'N'beyond on Apr-21-2007 18:57:

god dammit, made a really nice run at the end of the game there, then just broke down.

Its so clear that we have no playoff experience, especially when pitted against Vince Carter and Jason Kidd.

It wasn't about playoff experience. It was about making the stops and the raps failed to do that.

Oh, and getting pwned inside game. Again.

Jason Kidd was huge though. Wow.
