We all have personal issues with him, cause we are all fan, in fact we all love his music and the way he did makes his song in the past and his song selection with his live performance,...

Although on this album, only In the Dark suite some demands, the rest is not strong enough to hold my attention for less than a minute.

I love the old albums and I love his shows, but oh dear what a very poor composed and innovated album, I can hear only 4 chords moving the album along the side walk,...even the drums are weak, some freaky solo noising sounds in the songs doesn't blew up the cover of being a bad and borring album....

Oh and avoid song 10, what the hell is that,...TUUUT, TUUT, TUUT, TUUT. ( Shut the fuck up )

HAHA! That's probably the biggest disappoint in this album (at least for me)...

I still don't understand how some of you guys can't learn to like Driving To Heaven... that song is sick!

to all those people loving "driving to heaven", go listen to the track "Dibaba - Hold You (Agoria's "Bear" remix), and reconsider who deserves the real credit!

Surely there are similarities, but I wouldn't call it a ripoff or a copy. If anyone else wants to hear a sample: http://www.juno.co.uk/products/119850-01.htm

i actually like the actual song "Elements Of Life" its kind of unique... though it gets a bit repetitive at times..

Does sound similar, especially with that beat that's most unnoticeable, but most noticeable in Tiesto's... which is fucking gold and exactly what I wanna hear.

I can't call it a rip off if it's just that much better.

LMAO! this guy's a fucking crack-up.

Are you guys sure that the image at the start of this thread isn't a James Dean photoshop?

It's a far removed image from "In Search of Sunrise". Is Tiesto trying to make a bikie/badass image for himself? More groupies for Tiest0r

Monkey Dancer 2

i think it is a prety good album!!! although not all the tracks are your typical Tiesto sound, they definatly keep a great ambience of progressive trance. it is cool because i see tiesto taking his sound to a new place but i know his productions are capable of being epic anthems too.

With this album one can also see a lot of BT's help put into the productions. Out of the whole album i liked about 5 of the tracks... everything else was either mediocure or jus not to great.

my faves on this album inlcude:

Driving to Heaven
Sweet Things
Break my Fall
Bright Morningstar
He's a pirate (Tiesto Remix

those are my faves on this album the mediocure tracks i found that kept my attention but are hard to see are:

Elements of Life (the title track)
Ten Seconds Before Sunrise

so i generally think it is a good album def not your typical tiesto but i good Album in general!!!

to it seems though that this is how a lot of artist albums are. they have some Killer tracks and then there are a few that work but jus dont have notability.

so thats my 2 cents

In this album, TIesto had basically combined all of his work and experience from the past to produce these tracks.

The sounds and melodies in the tracks go way back from early tiesto production to the ones in Just Be. HE grabs a lot of stuff from all of his past albums, to use in the productions.

This is a wise move, as now he's catering for all of his fans, whether it be die-hard trancers or squeaming n00bs. You'll notice some of the tracks sound very commercially, whilst some soudn the way we think "trance should be".

Examples of how a lot of the stuff imitate other older works have already been given, but it surprises me that no-one noticed that in the track 10 seconds before sunrise, the background music sounds a lot like the melody in Theme from Norefjell in Magik 3. Maybe i'm wrong. But there's a lot of the other similarity from past productions/remixes/mix albums, whether it be his own work or borrowed or immitated from others are present (most of which i recognise, but can't put a finger on myself). Another example is one of the sounds the track Everything is in DJ Tiesto's Magikal remake of Aria - Willow (i might be getting mixed up with another track here).

IF there was an album "defining" tiesto, I think this would be it, because it's got the old and the new melded and forged together. This occurs bOth within the individual tracks, and between the different tracks. The big bonus is for Tiest0r, that the n00bs will be double happy because a lot of the stuff is new and fresh for them. They wont be saying "ooo i've heard this somewhere before... that's somewhat cheap".

Overall for me, good but not great. BUt i need to hear it way more, because all albums always need to grow on me.

My 2 cents.

Nice objective prose there about the make-up of the album Abhay. +1

Posted by TranceArmstrong on Mar-26-2007 04:53:

I enjoy the vocal tracks
