i think the terrace will open at 10pm. if not, then 11 or midnight. i doubt itll be closed much later than that.

Posted by PatMcGroin on Mar-24-2008 14:36:

just got word that sander's set is supposed to be from 12-2.

what kinda shit is that? really? fucking gay ass space. i can tell all you folks now, sanders set will suck big donkey balls. he wont bang it out like he should, def not if hes opening for ferry.

so my guess is this...
roland 10-12
sander 12-2
ferry 2-6
david padilla 6-?

thats a weak ass lineup imho. why space doesnt have sander close the night is retarded!!! he would bang it out so fucking hard. just check his set from toronto this past weekend when he closed the night from 4-7. banged it out so fucking nasty its not even funny. but with queer ass epic ferry behind him i bet sander will play soft as balls.

fuck this. anyone wanna buy my tickets? j/k... i guess this makes my night easier. sander 12-2... prydz 2-7... fuck. oh well.

oh well im still hoping that MAYBE this info is wrong. but i doubt it.

wow, that would be surprising to set it up like that *shrugs*
I was expecting Sander to play from like 6-9 or somethin.

im excited about seeing prydz for the first time, but still quite angry at how lame sanders set is going to be. its just the fact that hes opening so hes going to hold back a shit ton and basically well its gonna suck.

but yea, if you cant id every single prydz track then well ummmm.... yea i dunno, i guess that just sucks then. but you better be able to!

I'm going to have to disagree with you here. The sickest Sander set I've ever seen was his first gig in New York when he opened for Second Sun & Schulz. His set started at like 11 (with the Dave Spoon - At Night acapella) and he tore the club apart for two and a half hours.

Sander doesn't hold back, he doesn't play watered down or soft tracks and he always plays hard. It's his style. It's the way he always plays. In my opinion, a 12-2 time slot won't change that, especially during conference at one of his favorite venues. This is a big, solid booking for him. He will bring it.

bleh... i know you're a huge sander fan like me, but still, his two gigs here at space were good dont get me wrong, but both nights he did hold back a little bit.

it just bothers me because i can tell just from the timeslot what tracks sander will play...
opening with... Sander van Doorn - Look Inside Your Head
First State - Your Own Way (Sander van Doorn 2in1 Mix)
Sia - The Girl You Lost To Cocaine (Sander van Doorn Remix)
Will Gold Empty Promise
Sander van Doorn - Apple
Sander van Doorn - 15
Sander van Doorn - Pura Vida
Sander van Doorn - Riff (Original Mix)
W&W - Mustang
Ronald van Gelderen - Dirty Rocker (Dub Mix)
Funkagenda - What The Fuck
Deadmau5 - Not Exactly
J.O.C. - Rotterdam
Timbaland Feat. One Republic - Apologize (Sander van Doorn Bootleg)
ending his set with... Sander van Doorn - Dozer

while the majority of those tracks are good... i DO NOT want to hear the SAME EXACT sander set ive heard 50 times already. i wanted him to close the night and drop some older shit like sam sharp - hoover, or armin van buuren - control freak (sander van doorn remix), or just bang it nasty by dropping some nick larson, and some REALLY hard techy shit. that first state track and timbaland, while both i actually like, are too fucking soft!!!!!

whatever, atleast i will see him bang it harder on saturday at the fifth. but fuuuuuuuuuck, if he woulda closed the main room it would of been LEGENDARY! now its just going to be average.

SVD will rip it regardless he just won't be playing high ass bpms and making us die out fast as usual lol.... plus Ferry is good give the man some credit he will be sure to bring it to Space....

just like the other times he played there!

bleh... epic fucking emo trance. cant stand it. everyone was all over ferrys dick for his trance energy set. bro that shit sucked my asshole dry. everytime ive seen ferry its been "average" at best. he gets way too much credit.

sorry guys... i dont mean to start a flame war or anything here... im just PISSED about sanders set time is all. dont take the shit im saying about ferry too seriously.

Posted by PatMcGroin on Mar-24-2008 16:23:

DAMN IT!!!!

this also means sander probably wont drop his new mix!!! FUCK!!!
JXL vs. Walder - Samba Beauty Del Costa Never Fades (Sander van Doorn ID Mix)

that shit is too awesome for an opening set... fuuuuuuuuck.

no one knows for sure, but my guess is start time is probably 8 or 9 or something and end time, well who knows how long guettas tina and charlie will last him.

Posted by av1 on Mar-24-2008 16:54:

Positive thoughts Pat, first rule to having a good time @ WMC

Sander will rip it, no matter what time he plays. This is WMC, he knows it and will not hold back even if he plays at 1:00 p.m. before Britney Spears @ Chucky Cheese. And Corsten will not care one bit if SVD plays first and bangs it out. Whatever you think about Corsten, he is too cool to get upset over something like that. Maybe Tiesto would get mad, but not Corsten

Ghost Smilie

Sander closing for Ferry could have been legendary...now the onely question is how long are we going to have to wait after sander to get to the terrace for some prydz.

Pat, aren't you seeing SvD like 4 times this WMC anyway? You'll have your fun, even if its not at Space.

I could have guessed Ferry would be headlining the main room... why does that come as a surprise?

It doesn't. We just expected SVD to close the room, that is all

This night will still be legendary IMO

Posted by djmanu on Mar-24-2008 17:20:

OK, i'll go to the terrace immediately and then go downstair by 2 for Ferry, how could I know when he begins ? Will they display the final timeslots on the walls for instance ?

nope only twice... thursday at space and saturday at his own night. and i knew ferry would headline... thats not a suprise at all. it just doesnt fit to have sander open. the harder dj should always close. never open.

I agree...this set time/venue was made for him. I'm clinging to hope that Sander closes. I really don't want to listen to Ferry for 4 hours when I could be seeing Prydz...that said, when Ferry plays longer sets late, he tends to play heavier. I was done with Ferry, but then I saw him kill it last June, I decided to give him another chance.

Hopefully Sander will get a later (though definitely not quite as lengthy) set on Friday at AM Only.

I am going to stay positive and hope for the best.
