graphite sticks break a lot easier than wood

unless a team is buying them for you, not worth it.

They obviously do, but the engineering is sick, and youre paying that money for something that weighs almost nothing.

The KHL will lure many russians into making less than they are worth. I just find it silly that a player who has not had a full season to his credit (aka: a fragile pussy with talent) would make comments about a small guy that puts up a fight like crosby does.

LOL

crosby is a pussy, a whiner, a diver, and not small. if it wasn't for captain jew turning the nhl into the national crosby league, he'd be just another above average player. what semin means (at least what i think) is that there are a bunch of other players in the league that have actually won something that don't get half the coverage he does. a great example was last year when ovechkin basically did everything for the caps in the last half of the season and they make the playoffs on the last days. now if that had been crosby, we would still be hearing about it, but we don't. we don't even hear about his boyfriend's fluke season last year because it wasn't crosby.

Until you can write somewhat of a coherent sentence, i don't think anyone really cares what you think here.

Much love,
Frenchie (who can actually speak English)

one fluke season doesn't make you irreplaceable

Posted by Vlad on Nov-03-2008 22:12:

lol... I love people who think they know it all, talk shit about people and try to bring people down.

Crosby is amazing, lets end it at that.

And I never said Whitney is irreplaceable, but he is a big part of that defense.

Now, onto the big boy conversation that Jay, LEN, vern and myself are having...

Whos gonna be the surprise team this year?

25 might not be enough, because Backstrom is a good goalie, unless of course the D just sits back and lets SJ just skate right around them.

Getting shots off hasnt been a problem. SJ is averaging over 30 shots a game (as high as 50)....its just up to how many see the net.

Oh I know that... SJ is an offensive beast, even their defense is aggressive, but Backstrom is definitely no slouch.

Uh...sharks. If they can get past the 2nd round...Im surprised

Im not sure who will finish strong and make a surprise showing. Im trying to watch as much hockey from other teams as I can. I havent really found a team that I have a "secret crush" on. I need to watch a few more weeks to see if a team really starts to appeal to me.

Yea, after I asked the question, I had a feeling it might be too soon to be picking a sleeper. Although I will say that I have a crush on Chicago, I just wish they would give Huet a chance to take over, Khabibulin is so 1999.

Im watching them now. I must say their 3rd(black) jersey is the best one yet.

I hate that they dont show more games on TV. Would love to see how theyre doing. In general want to just watch as many games as I could.

BTW, for those that do want to watch games, you can watch streams for free on channelsurfing.net - although they dont always show all the games. Another option is getting a program called Sopcast - this is how I watch soccer on the weekends.

Buffalo has been most surprising to me thus far.

Posted by Vlad on Nov-04-2008 05:28:

They have been good, but I cant say Im totally convinced, Miller and Vanek are carrying that team on their backs.

Watched them beat the Caps a few nights ago, impressive to say the least.

Most teams are carried by one or two players or perceived to be because of the form of standouts. There is no way that they can continue to the same heights all season but they can still do damn well.

Posted by bamski on Nov-04-2008 10:26:

TEPPO!!

Roy & Pominville were quite good too, which seemed to surprize the commentators even more than me.

Vanek is on pace to score 100 goals, which aint happening, lol.

Posted by elFreak on Nov-04-2008 17:52:

No it won't happen, but he is finally playing to his potential and *shudder* actually taking care of his defensive responsibilities.

Lindy Ruff is a great coach, if he keeps getting the most out of his players, the Sabres will be a very dangerous team in the playoffs with a goalie that can steal games.

I had them finishing outside of the playoffs before the season, and while it is still a bit early to see if they are real (no depth at all, injuries would be disastrous for them) they certainly went from being a push over to a big blip on the radar for me.

Posted by Vlad on Nov-04-2008 23:31:

Well, if they could keep this pace, then yea, they are a big threat, but I have my reservations about them.

Posted by L.E.N. on Nov-05-2008 02:55:

Im having fun watching and all...but its all about whos injured by playoffs. That just ruins it for teams that "should" be in the finals.

Posted by Vlad on Nov-05-2008 05:49:

As expected, the Sharks are shooting a TON at Backstrom, only so much he could do seeing almost 50 shots in a game.

Posted by L.E.N. on Nov-05-2008 05:54:

Fun game! I was hoping they would get 51 shots. Their PP needs to finish!

Posted by elFreak on Nov-05-2008 06:21:

the rangers let the leafs come back on saturday and now lose to the lowly as fuck islanders.

4 points out of first with 4 games in hand.

we are coming mofuggas.
