ya man; but i haven't been paying too much attention to it. i have a couple other teams i'm following as well that are for $$$. (lol i don't have a problem i swear!!1). trying my best though to keep up.

edit: my team is "the idiots."

Well; it's official (official to me at least); this season is done for. Time to pack it up and hope we get a good draft pick this year. I see the Raptors going on another pathetic losing streak with Orlando, Cleveland, LAL and NO coming up.

Lol....it's like the worst draft class in years too....sucks bigtime to be a raps fan right now.

Posted by infinity HiGH on Jan-31-2009 06:41:

I swear this team is so pathetic right now. Over the past I don't know how many years we can't seem to muster up anything more than a 3 or 4 game winning streak. This team is so mentally weak. And, as much as I hate suggesting this: I think CB is at the root of all this.

But how weak is it really? Just because there aren't any big time players that you would want to build around like Lebron, Wade, Rose, CP3, etc. doesn't mean there aren't any players that can't be potential stars. It'd be a mistake to go into a draft with that sort of mindset. With the right scouting, I'm sure there are some players that can develop into solid 2nd or 3rd string guys (a'la Ginobili, and so on).

I've given up on the Raptors.....time to make some serious changes....its obvious the core group cannot get it done.

I've said it once, I'll say it again. Sam Mitchell was not the problem, he was a good coach.

Posted by I_Am_Vince on Feb-04-2009 16:58:

Is there rumours of Bosh wanted to be traded or is gonna get traded? I was flipping through the channels Super Bowl day and heard a couple reporters asking Coangello if he's thinking about trading Bosh...

Posted by urban_legend on Feb-04-2009 17:41:

Does anyone else agree that they need to trade Bosh and JO?

Posted by jon jon on Feb-04-2009 18:03:

lol such a fucked up season, it all fell apart after Chuck left imo

He wasn't a good coach; but he also wasn't the problem.

What for? They're not the problem either. Although I wouldn't disagree that Bosh shouldn't be "The Man" on a team. He seems too weak mentally to be that.

I guess I just liked the way Mitchell handled the press.

Bosh is too weak mentally and physically. Shaq changed the game. If you want to be a big man inside, be big, and fight for the inside.

Stupid announcers. Last night watching the game "folks, plenty of tickets left, go to raptors.com to get them"

So I went, and all i could find were single tickets from $250 and up. No pairs.

I tried to buy tix for this back in December, but my price range was sold out.

Yea I miss Mitchell's interviews. Those were always classic. But I hated his playbook which consisted of "Pick & Rolls" and more "Pick & Rolls." No variety whatsoever.

Shaq didn't change the game. The power game was wilt's doing. It's just so rare to find such a dominant big man, and Shaq was the latest incarnation of it.

And no, we don't need to trade Bosh or O'Neal, thanks. That's just reactionism from fans who are terrified at our record. Where we stand now, it would be better to hold onto what we have and re evaluate in the offseason.

Any trades right now should be made with next year in mind. Get rid of Moon and/or Kapono for a good back up guard or something. Maybe throw in Joey Graham too since his trade value is as high as it's ever been lately (the FA motivation is kicking in for Joey!).

from Doug Smith's Raptors blog in the Toronto Star.

if a pic is worth a thousand words, lol...can't wait for the playoffs (though I still say Cavs are winning the East, if 100% healthy):

Cavs vs Lakers final. Epic in the making.

Posted by infinity HiGH on Feb-06-2009 20:42:

I'd want to see a Celts-Lakers rematch and see LA take it this time but Cavs-Lakers would be just as epic.

I think the Lakers will be playing in Cleveland sometime soon since they're on a eastern roadtrip right now.

edit

Yup. It's on Sunday at 3:30.
