take the DC which runs at 200 mhz
for a PC to pull does graphics you need a P3-600 with a GFORCE to run at full 60fps.
Now to pull graphics like GT3 for PS2 (which runs at 294mhz) you need at least a 1.5 gigs with a Gforce III. To make it run at 60fps without a drop of frames..which GT3 for ps2 does.
I have some games for PC which pulls around 1 million polygons on my 1gig and it still runs below 60fps. so PC aint more powerfull than Ps2..you need 5Xtimes the megahertz or more on pc to compete with the consoles. There is a new game for Ps2 called Jak & Daxter which the developer is saying that in pulling around 10 million poly at 60 fps...PC will pull a slide show...i aint saying PC cant do it,,but you need lots more power..

thaere is thing about ps2 and the other systems that is rely bad.
And that is that you hook em up to tv screens and so you cant get the resolution and colours (unles you have horibly expensive tv)as you can on a pc monitor.
plus pc is so much more flexible/upgrateable.

Yeah Tony Hawk 2 for GBA rules, I have it along with Mario Advance. My friend has F-Zero too, which isn't that bad. I can't wait for Mario Kart: Super Circuit in August.

MGS2 looks decent, I have the Demo that came in Z.O.E. My only problem w/ the PS2 is how most of the games are short right now. I guess the technology is just too new to make a very long game. I hope MGS2 is long.
Sony just announced the Gran Turismo/PS2 package. $329, u get all the stuff u'd get when u buy a reg. PS2 but u get GT3 included. That's $20 off...so for those that still need a PS2 and a good game.. Go here to read more (and see the new GT3/PS2 Box): http://ps2.ign.com/news/36123.html

That's being released either before or on the day that GT3 is released 
1.5ghz to run a PS2 on your computer?... sorry but fat fucken chance!! ... hehe, damn, i heard you need around 2.7-3.0ghz to run that at 70-80... thats why the PS2 is so damn awesome, it fully surpasses the pc in gaming... and thats also why Saddam Huisane bought a whole bunch of the things to link together and use as some military super computer, although i think that's just a rumour

nah dude im not trying to compare them, but im just saying that it's virtually impossible to emulate the PS2 (note: not PSX) on computer!... it's just a very complicated piece of hardware
i love both consoles and pc and btw, i like that comparison with the Fridge and cookin toast

I can't wait for GT3 also... for the first time it looks like I'm gonna buy a wheel, the official GT3 racing wheel!!!!
Although at the moment I am catching up on all the old Dreamcast games that I've been meaning to play, Shenmue, Virtual Tennis and one new game Sonic 2!

That's very good looking sturing wheel and i'm gonna buy it for sure but not yet in a few months. First play GT3 with the controller.
And I was so stupid to buy 5 years ago or something the first PSX sturing wheel for 200 fucking guilders and I never play with that shit because it was so frustrating. . I'll get angry again if I think about it.
