Hey everybody, I was just wondering if anybody has heard any news about the Dance Festival for this summer. Is it going to be a red rocks again and who is going to perform? Anyways, anything would be nice.. So thanks.
Oh and I'm wanting to get back up to Denver for another gig. I was looking around and couldn't find all that much information as to who is coming and whatnot, so some info here would be great too. And if anybody has anymore news about some decent shows just get back to me please.
I'm not really a party animal, more about the music. So yea, any news would be cool. Thanks..

Junkie + Deep Dish is ace though
Seriously, the need to replace Oakie with another headliner, I'd rather listen to Acosta. And that scares the absolute fuck out of me

I think the only real difference between Oakie and Acosta is that one is black and one is white..I'll let you all solve that mystery.
They both do the jesus pose, both can't mix for shit, and both play horridly out of date tunes, but I think Oakie is just trying to suck.

Comparing Acosta to Oaki is like comparing a thumb tack to a nail gun.
Oakie may suck when he plays in Colorado, but were I in his shoes, I would not really care when i play here either. Also, oakie pretty much created the scene here as we know it in the US, where as acosta... well, he just plays hard stuff. A lot. Everytime.
Not to say I like a lot of what oakie is playing these days, but you should really hear his live sets from around the world, they pretty darn good, and al when you've been around that long, your style or interests are bound to change, a lot of his weird musical endeavors are probably him trying to find something new or interesting to get involved in.
I heard that Deep Dish fell through, for a gig in Greece, but would be pretty stoked if they did play.

Anyways, Deep Dish would be great and I hope you're right about JXL, because he destroyed vinyl back in April.
As far as the hating is concerned, to each his own kiddies, oakie was great back in the day, but to sit here and say that i'd actually pay to see him headline a gig anymore no i wouldn't, unless the "undercard" was intriging to me (e.g. DD and JXL)

Lol, what makes you think I don't hear his shit abroad? He doesn't impress me in the least. He's a fucking bandwagon hopper anymore, though I would never, ever dispute the fact he pretty much broke the scene here, and he used to be play fuckin great, though his mixing has always been shitty. I gotta agree though, if I were him, I'd just keep putting out the shit he does as it seems to make more than enough to keep up his coke habit.
But honestly, me saying I'd rather see Acosta than Oakie is like shit telling vomit it stinks, in all reality I wouldn't go see either of them unless like Chad said there was someone else there playing.
Haha, I'd rather go see Pvd than Oakie anymore, and that's say ALOT.

So I hope you'll all excuse me if I don't read all 300 pages of this forum. Whats the Colorado scene like, especially in denver? Any good local clubs? Any big names coming to town this summer. I'm moving there starting in June, and I'd like to be prepared.
