I'd guess you've pulled, strained or torn something through over-working it if the pain is so bad you think you'll vomit. Of course, I could be completely wrong. Everyone's body works in a slightly different way.

Posted by Banora on Feb-19-2009 07:16:

Its not a constant pain, though. Only when I try to ingest something, but I also could be getting sick; I have been feeling under the weather

wrong, 130 and 6' is too small doesn't matter if you are male or female.

To be fair that person male or female would only need about 10 more pounds to be considered 'normal' instead of 'underweight'. Not too far off, but you are right it doesn't matter if they are male or female.

getting your abs to show is not about working them out, it's about lowering your bodyfat %. Focus on dropping your caloric intake, and do lots of cardio as well as weight training. Weight training is most important since u still burn cals after leaving the gym, whereas with cardio, as soon u stop, so does the calorie burning.

I like punching on a bag for a change of pace.

Gets your heart rate up really quick.

Too small? i dunno.. what if you have a thin waiste and smaller bones? Or your training to be a marathon runner, or a rockclimber. To each his own. If you're 130 fit lean and cut i see nothing wrong with that. Weight and height is a ridiculous measure of fitness. Several things need to be taken into consideration.

I remember at 134 lbs I was rininging off 1 handed chinups benching 205 lbs and doing chinups with 90 lbs attached to me.

I think i was in far better shape then your "average" man with the ideal bmi at 6 feet and 170 lbs.

I wouldnt let being slightly overweight or slightly underweight discourage anyone. It depends what your training your body for, what you do, and how you feel physically.

Posted by chimera66 on Feb-19-2009 17:30:

you would have to have mini bones for 130 to look ok and be 6' tall. if you are a woman at 140 and 6" alright but a guy at that weight is small, muscle weights more too so i don't believe that will look healthy per se. i don't particuarly think marathon runners look good, they look like they are deprived imo

I hate being half motivated. I *could* go to the gym today...but it's supposed to be an off day. To go or not to go. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

lol ok p.s I don't know if you saw but my pimple went away last night I didn't even get to pop it

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-19-2009 21:54:

That's what you get!!!

I'm fucking glad I decided to go to the gym. That was a supreme workout. Can't believe I've taken a half hour off my workout time. Some girl also told me I was "Quite the runner", and said "You must have been running for a long time, huh?" Which I haven't...so that made me feel really good!!

I told her, "Nah, I'm just motivated...I tell myself in my head as I run "Don't be a pussy, keep going. " Lololol.

theres a difference between looking healthy and being healthy.
anyways i would rather be at around 160 lbs then 130 or 140

personally. But i remember where i forced myself to drop to 134 for a lifting competition just so i could make that lower bracket lol.

Shoulders and back today ugh I don't feel like going now though.

Posted by Lira on Feb-20-2009 02:58:

I had enough!

Adiós, panza, now I've got some more free time to work on what Karim and Echosystem said. It's time to get educated and toughen up. Last year I spent too much time at the library, it's time to make the gym my 3rd home.

That being said, this is what I believe I'm doing right now:
quote:
Mon-Wed-Fri:

Triceps (can't describe the exercises in English) for 30 min
Legs (can't describe the exercises in English) for 30 min
Sit-ups for 15 min

15 min of running-for-my-life cardio

Tue-Thu-Sat:

Biceps (can't describe the exercises in English) for 30 min
Thighs (can't describe the exercises in English) for 30 min
More pull-ups for 15 min

Some more 15 min of running as if a pitbull was chasing me.

Doesn't really look good, does it?
