i love that forum, i just never seem to have the time or the attention span to do the research to make an intelligent post. i jump in if i know enough to get by anyway. i love the stuff, but i've found i prefer it in person-person discussions.

i think i spend too much time in front of the computer too, but i'm a bit overloaded on real people too. i love people and being social so much, but ever now and then i get on an anti-social kick and i don't want to have to deal with people.

mebot, please tell me you saw the stupidity in those posts?

Posted by squirrelly on Dec-19-2003 01:46:

I've become quite anti-social after a few events... (i.e. the trauma/drama of my ex) So I tend to escape in the computer.

I'm majoring in International Affairs specializing in Political Sciences, so I love posting in there. If I'm wrong, I'll get corrected, and that's fine by me

I hope that my posts are considered valuable... along with my threads

So.

I got my new 45 dolla put-em-in-the-oven-and-they-form-to-your-foot in soles for my boots. Have to wait till the weekend though....I left my boots in my locker at work, silly me.

Also stopped by my friend Chris's place (to see what 80s tunage he had that I didn't which was none ) and he gave me my xmas present. My second copy of Pirates of the Carribean lol.

But I get a gift receipt so I can use it to buy part of his present....the first 2 seasons of Coupling on DVD.

daff (who doesn't love me because she ignored my attempt to get her to add me to her AIM list ) you will really like this show methinks. So one night when you are bored sitting around, run to your local Blockbuster and rent Coupling, The first season is 6 half hour episodes. The second is 9. It is the best show in television history I think. The british version of course, the american one on NBC sucked ass.

You will not be disappointed.

As to the Political Forum thing...I was big on there until I left for Branson, then I was unable to keep up with threads and have not been able to get sucked back in. Mainly I just give Yoepus and occrider shit in various threads hehe.

ive always been a middle of the post kind of guy.. so i can see debates from both angles. each person is entitled to their own opinion..

but i dunno, im not one to judge other peoples posts or opinions. Some of the stuff seemed kind of whacko

if i add you to my buddy list, i will NEVER EVER be able to leave the computer. ever. i will become completely worthless.

i saw the first season the other night, absolutely hysterical! it's funny, because the american version was the exact same episodes, verbatim, but they still sucked. i might go rent the second season tonight and watch it while i continue on my unpacking/repacking expedition *slantyface*

Posted by Orbax on Dec-19-2003 02:02:

thats sad that my brain put the " :\ " in my vision when you said that *frowny face*

I knew you and I were a lot alike

Me and Phlotron are Coupling fanatics....I actually taped the first 3 seasons off the air...imported them into my computer..edited out the commercials and dumped them back to tape for him and My friend Chris as well.

Series 2 is awesome. And ya I saw the american version of Size Matters and was appalled that they used the same script with a few changes...and they used a total dumbass for jeff. Richard Coyle makes that show lol.

Oh and for some lyrical Xmas 80s fun:

It's Christmastime; there's no need to be afraid
At Christmastime, we let in light and we banish shade
And in our world of plenty we can spread a smile of joy
Throw your arms around the world at Christmastime
But say a prayer to pray for the other ones
At Christmastime

It's hard, but when you're having fun
There's a world outside your window
And it's a world of dread and fear
Where the only water flowing is the bitter sting of tears

And the Christmas bells that ring there
Are the clanging chimes of doom
Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you
And there won't be snow in Africa this Christmastime

The greatest gift they'll get this year is life
Oh, where nothing ever grows, no rain or rivers flow
Do they know it's Christmastime at all?

Here's to you, raise a glass for ev'ryone
Here's to them, underneath that burning sun
Do they know it's Christmastime at all?

Feed the world
Feed the world

Feed the world
Let them know it's Christmastime again
Feed the world
Let them know it's Christmastime again

Please, please, tell me now, please, please, tell me now,
Please, please, tell me now, please, please, tell me now.

I made a break, I run out yesterday,
Tried to find my mountain hideaway - maybe next year, maybe no go.
I know you're watching me every minute of the day, yeah.
I've seen the signs and the looks and the pictures
They give your game away, yeah.
There's a dream that strings the road with broken glass for us to hold
And I cut so far before I had to say:

Please, please, tell me now, is there something I should know?
Is there something I should say that would make you come my way?
Do you feel the same 'cause you don't let it show.

People stare and cross the road from me
And jungle drums they all clear the way for me,
Can you read my mind, can you see in the snow?
And fiery demons all dance when you walk through that door.
Don't say you're easy on me, you're about as easy as a nuclear war.
There's a dream that strings the road with broken glass for us to hold,
And I cut so far before I had to say.

Please, please, tell me now, is there something I should know?...
Please, please, tell me now, is there something I should know?
Is there something I should say, try to make you turn my way?
Please, please, tell me now, can you see what makes me blow?
Can you see how much I die every time it passes by?
Please, please, tell me now, what it takes to make you show?
Is there something I should know, is there something I should say?

Mebot, I found your pic!

I just received a letter from the governor of my state. He seemed to be supportive of saving Padre National Seashore, so that's good news!

Because,

I'm good enough,

I'm smart enough,

And doggoneit, people like me.
