Technics MK5G rock the fu#kin boat man!!

I love them.

After 3/4 weeks, i'm still waiting on my blue empath Ah well least they gave me the grey 1 meanwhile!

I'll post up finished setup on my decks next week.

Posted by Inertia on Sep-15-2005 02:46:

^^^ teh techno guru from Yugoslavia.

teh setup:

1x Pioneer CDJ-800
2x Pioneer CDJ-200
1x Reebok Carbon X Size 12 Blue/White Shoe 'CDJ Lifting Box'
3x Technics 1200SL Mk2
Pioneer DJM-600 Mixer
Yamaha Monitor (in the back, on the pedestal)

mixer looks pretty dusty. gonna clean that later. that gray deck looks like shit. the internals are great (was a really old deck our resident Yugoslavian techno terrorist fixed up completely, and has in a waiting list for a repaint)...

buncha vinyls & CDs:

so ok. my room is a mess and looks like shit. the setup sure as hell doesn't look pretty. but let me tell ya something, IT GETS DA JOB DONE. heh. still have to fix up my room, throw out all the junk, and rearrange how the table and decks are to fit into it.

...ok ok. so i'll stop bullshitting you. hehe. not my setup. i own the CDJ-200 on the left on the setup pic (we re-arranged it when my mates came over, the yugoslavian kid plays with 4 records at once [yes, at once, same time, all faders on top, 4 different tracks] so he likes to use the CDJ-800 in channel 1, since it has vinyl emu, and decks in 2,3,& 4 since they're the inputs with PHONO). the 3 decks and mixer + monitor belong to him. the other 2 CD decks belong to another mate of mine. the vinyls are a combination of both of theirs. my CD collection is in that CD case. the reason i have everything is, well, one of my mates is moving, and doesn't have a place for all of it, and the other is on holiday, so get to keep his stuff.

hopefully, i'll be able to buy a 2nd CD deck for my own setup soon.

That has to be one of the most random looking set ups I have seen in a while

How are you liking FS?

LOL... and I'm just thinking about buying two more CDJ's...

Best thing I've ever done! I was looking for a digital way (about 1,5 year ago) to keep spinnen. Back then FS wasn't as stable as it is now (If you have anough knowledge about laptops / computers / OS-es) So i choose for the CDJ.

Now was the time to jump onto FS2.0 after they had some software fixes etc.

same here. endless fun!!!!
In the past you would have needed
thousands of records to get the same experience.
You will notice a significant improvement in your skills to.
Just keep spinning and you will be pulling mash ups like you never had before.

Allen and Heath Xone 92
2 X Technics 1200's
Pioneer cdj1000 MK2
Pioneer cdj800
Pioneer CMX 3000
Pioneer HDJ 1000 headphones
Ortofon DJ carts
KRK v8 Monitors

The monitor situation isn't ideal like this, but its workign for now.

Oh, this is all in my closet and its just about totally soundproofed now.

Dude you really got to get some furniture...
Or use some stuff lying around in your house.../
I love your gear though
You have the cmx 3000 (I miss that thing..)

haha, I have furniture. But I just moved into this apartment and to keep the noise down I had to confine myself to the walk-in closet. I really do need a better monitor situation, because the speakers being so close to my head makes it weird to beatmatch and mix. But its cool because I've pretty much completely soundproofed the closet so I can crank it up.

May I ask why you have the cmx when you have 2 cdjs? Are they different in function?

hehe, i know i know. i'm the little brother in the group. but i also am the party organizer, and the one who learned how to spin the quickest. so i paid my dues, and my friends have no problem leaving their gear here after a party or something .

just gave up the 600 this morning to the owner, he's playing a beach party and they needed a mixer as well. currently on a Stanton RS3-S (shitty... nice kill switches and crossfader, but the volume faders' curve SUCKS)
