Yes, I do squats.

But now the MMA trainer is making me

talk about barely being able to walk later! I though I was gonna puke on Monday. I'll be seeing him again tonight though!

What's your best squat jennypie? Mine is 611 just below parallel.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-26-2009 04:14:

Oh no I don't do THOSE kind of squats. I just do regular ones/sumo squats, or squat jumps.

I knew some idiot would ask about that so here it goes... 1 45lb bar, 6 45lb (20.45kg) plates, 6 44lb (20kg) plates (Weider brand), 4 5.5lb plates, 2 5lb collars=611...that's where the hell I get 611. The most I can put on my bar is at home is 654lbs of weight for a total of 699lbs...I'll let figure that one out. Those odd plates are even kilograms for competition. And for you real warriors of Irondom, there are 110lb plates too...

actually yes - my training is going really really well... so I might participate in a fight night in like two months.

Need videos!

How long have you been fighting for?

Posted by squirrelly on Feb-26-2009 14:56:

On my own (without a trainer or anything like that), a couple of months. I just recently signed up for a trainer 3x a week... and prob in a few weeks I'll step it up to 5 nights (when I'm getting closer to fighting). I think in 3 weeks I'll start getting trained on the ground, so I'm excited!

Translation: DON'T FUCK WITH ME!

Posted by Zild on Feb-26-2009 14:59:

Woah I've been fighting a long as I remember and still wouldn't step into a cage. That's pretty tough!

My friend Roland always tries to get me into signing up for fights but I'm a wuss. I like hitting people when they're not looking and kicking them when they're down. Fighting fair is for the birds.

Whatever, sure it does. I'm pushing my own body weight...and squat jumps are hard, ok?!

Besides, my legs are already strong...my goal isn't to gain more strength, rather to get more toned. So there!

Back day today w00t my arms and chest are so pumped from the last two days

It actually feels really good. The more I train, the more I get like a high from it. But I'm not ignorant - I won't step in until I'm absolutely prepared. But when I do, I want to break someone's face!

The only thing I'm having trouble with is kicking with my left leg. I can do a lower body kick, but my leg twists funny when I'm doing middle and head shots... I'm way stronger with my right leg, but I don't want to limit myself on moves, you know?

If they're strong then how much can you squat?

I've never done it with weights, how would I know? You don't have to believe me, lol.

lol how are they suppose to get tone then. Do you squat the bar at least? Well I guess your massive ego is enough

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Feb-26-2009 15:10:

Anyone try one-legged squats before?

Pretty tough.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-26-2009 15:11:

I do a bunch of leg exercises. I also do the leg press and hamstring curl, and thigh ab/adductors. I don't need to squat the bar.

Definitely practice that left. Also get on top of your ground game because most of the time the fight will end up on the ground.

I would probably fight, but at my height I'd have to cut down to 155 to keep from getting killed. Right now I would be a light heavyweight and those guys are fucking monsters.

Who cares about believing you? I'm just fucking with you since you can only do 8 pushups and squats with no weight.
