Yeah, that's Armind off TT. I've got the non munted version of this one:

but I'll be sure to show him that one anyway

Completely didn't realise the ponies had solarstone shirts. Didn't think I was that gone, but oh well. Managed to notice that Albert had one on though.

I thought RVG was OK, but a bit too techy. Was hoping for a bit more melody to build into Ferry, but you can't have everything. However, his triple hit of Satellite to White Room to No One On Earth was well enjoyed.

As for Ferry, I thought he killed it? I don't know why you Melbourne people thought he was meh? A good mix of his production work, as well as newer tracks, and a whole lot of stuff I haven't heard before.

Absolutely loving QBH as a venue. Shits all over Home up here in Syd, which would be the equivalent I think. I found it amusing that the dance floor was super slidey, but found it disappointing that there weren't as many phat pants, or psycho shufflers, as I first thought would be there. And no Smirnoff double blacks on the bar? wtf? Had to resort to doing vodka shots instead

All in all, I had a top night, as did most of the TT'ers. I'm in the process of uploading my photos/vids to TT now, so go pay a visit to have a look.

Ferry with his kiddish smile and Van Gelderen of chops (i think)

Rocked up to see the dancefloor pretty empty but it didnt take to long to fill up with Ronald playing a few favourites from late 03 early 04. Im sure i heard some sort of remix of Super8 - Alba...took it a little bit harder. If anyone has a clue bout this track let me know. I also got a chance to snap up a shot with Ronald after his set.
Ferry Corsten!! IT WAS TIME! Played some awesome choons..bit more uplifting towards the start then slowly moved into his usual tech-trance style :P unique! A few favourites on the night were Sweet Sorrow, f massif - somebody (ferry remix), Its time (ferry flashover mix), marco v - automaual, and his two encore tracks which were adagio and also aven - all i wanna do (ferry remix) ohh what sweet sweet vocals Managed to get one record signed only and unfortunately missed out on getting some friends signed..sorry fellas! oh btw his lead up and actions to rock your body was better then the song

All in all was a good night, well done to the TA boys in the side room and was goopd catching up with all u crazy TA crew.

PS. the system sucked..
& pictures/video footage coming soon

Had a fantastic night, first time seeing ferry play for me so it was special Thought he was great, not as electrifying as his nature one set, but still rocked it. RVD exceeded expectations, hadn't heard much of his work before, but was quite pleased by his performance. Dropped some choooooons, which i didn't expect.

Highlights for me was RVD's dancing , Ferry's clap clap bang Ferry droping Force of Gravity, Synestheasia, Somebody, Automanual, and the crowd going nuts when he dropped Rock Your Body

P.S. Awesome to catch up with some TA's, i didnt notice that the ponies were wearing solarstone shirts either, hmmmmmmmm

well, that was a pretty sweet night.

made a last minute decision but i was glad that i went.

ferry's set was awesome.....he hadnt really done the same for me as tiesto or armin but saturday night-phwoar. i can call it the near perfect set...awesome tracks, great build up and peak, and the encore just topped it off.

cant really make proper judgements about rvg's set cos I got in at about 1 but from what i heard, it was too hard, and didnt really have a good flow....should have been a build up set for ferry.

great as usual to see the usual ta's and meet a few others....realised from the pics that i was speaking to loulabell in the queue (before we got in) and i didnt know it at the time lol.

but yeah, all in all, loved the set, and cant wait for kryal.

Posted by Dr P on Nov-22-2004 09:50:

wow I spoke to soups without realising....we were discussing the tshirt!!!

I didn't realise how mangled I was until I read all this stuff and I don't remember much of ferry' set at all yet was in main room for most of time...

btw did anyone else notice the total disrespect for midro...

haha he was loitering behind the decks waiting for ferry to finish up, the look on his face when the crowd yelled for another encore was priceless!
to top that off, as he started playing the front row (i'm assuming the TA massive) jumped up on stage to get shit signed blocking the booth from the crowd...

poor midro cops alot of shit when the people of this board are involved.

and so he deserves it getting that off his face before getting on stage with such big responsibilities...wasnt really a good follow up to ferry i think either

coming soon..soups v stipsy pic

agree. time for a proper trance DJ to close mainroom and leave midro to close elsewhere maybe for NRG parties..

nah I said to you I needed it last weekend when she was in sydney...

Posted by narcism on Nov-22-2004 11:20:

I think rvg done an excellent job yes he was the warm up to ferry but what did you all expect him to play?
and as for his dancing check this pic out.... reminds me of a spider

Neways did anyone else catch adagio for strings n carte blanche on vid, i managed to get the both but for some reason the sound isnt the best, dont think it was because i was standing on the speakers, the bass just distorts the sound

Has anyone noticed midro is going bald, more so than armin

Same problem here, i've got those both on video but the sound quality isn't the best. I think QBH's mean bass system doesn't allow most of our amateaur recording devices to capture its purity.

Too right, Midro's time is up, he's just too much of a mess. His style is not suited to follow a quality international act. Imagine what the internationals must think when they see the guy that is going to be following them is k'd off his nut and spinning hard trance, it's just not right.

Time to go back to the stable K-man

P.S. Vote. 1 - Steve Strangis for closing sets

Posted by marcusus on Nov-22-2004 12:32:

I found that putting my finger over the mic on my camera managed to clear it up a good amount. Of course it's nowhere near perfect, but you can still tell what song it is. I got Jump The Next Train and Red Line Highway, plus another I don't recognise, from Ferry's set.

And as for Midro, I didn't mind what he was playing too much actually. I was between the side room and the main because of it. Heard him play Amnesia, Mistral, As The Rush Comes, and Energizer at least, and that pretty much kept me going pretty well.

catches on doesnt he......

Well depending on the international that is playing, midro is much more suited for a hard trance act and i think this issue really needs to be adressed because the dancefloor simply clears out once the man jumps on the decks...besides the people who are still picking up their brain cells.

Ferry didn't play Madagascar by any chance did he ?
