barely. There was so much chance for them to have won this in the end, that you should just be thankful we won. We're not going to do the indian/pakistani thing which is go up in a series & declare ourselves living gods. Until the ashes are won, nothing is a cert

um, i thought you were Irish ? they have their own team you know, who like scotland, can't beat our local county sides this teams England plus Wales (Simon Jones is a legend so we let them off)

don't get me wrong mate, I love my country patriotically, but there's some real dives here that I'd prefer not to be associated with. Most are south of the midlands but yeah, climate wise we suck so bad, makes it a shitty place to be, I'd love the climate of say Perth, Adelaide & the likes

Look just becuase youre in the Australia forum and are vastly outnumbered doesnt mean you should side with them.

Although I was born in London and may take a hammering from that, I can still single handedly own every single Australian in this forum

Well, I do have Australian family & friends but seriously, I've seen enough of their team to not get drawn into boasting too soon, and looking extremely stupid afterwards if it doesn't happen.

Posted by THE_Chris on Aug-28-2005 20:19:

Dont worry, if England do lose I have a card to play that means I cant look stupid

My room may need tidying, but Australia need to tidy up their batting order

By the way, its well past your bedtime

well, since it was started by a pom, i'd say the invasion began a while back just in friendly nature. That's something I've enjoyed about the whole series, these guys are good mates off the field, and are competing closer on it. Can't ask for much more than we've had, even if we were losing these matches instead of winning, i'd still be enthralled by it all

Posted by Philby on Aug-29-2005 00:34:

the crowd, the drama, the excitement, ITS ALL HAPPENING!!! argh shit haha woke up my mum at 3am when we got the last wicket, far out what a finish, i was just sitting there in my bed going come on you can get another wicket, warney was brilliant, but in the end the target was just too small. now the pressure is really on us to win the last test. what a series!!

Posted by Light The Fuse on Aug-29-2005 03:03:

fark they almost coulda had em if it werent for a few dodgey umpiring descisions...ahh well next test should be pressure cooker
