In reaction to the place thinning out has anybody ever considered trying to throw a party on a saturday night instead of friday?

I reckon that could make a huge difference

Posted by tachyon on Aug-28-2005 03:29:

thanks for all the feedbacks guys.. keep them coming! its not just ours, its yours too!

had such a ball on friday night, can't believe its already over!

Posted by marsh on Aug-28-2005 03:31:

Well, that was a thoroughly enjoyable night out!!

(translation: *groan*)

I always enjoy these opportunities to catch up with people I rarely get a chance to, and this was definately checked off the list!

Caught the end of JpL's - seemed like plenty of energy in the place dood- well done (youfarkenrockstar)

Yeh, I noted that. (not dissing, just contructive feedback -Icanhelpwiththatifulike ).

But then again, I'm unable to not pick tings apart...

I agree that the plasma's were a very nice touch- the doco provided some 'out of the ordinary' stimuli for those moments when the music wasn't demanding my full attention (was not quite as punchy as I like until the later sets ). The laser was lovely as well

...how embarrassment... Spose' at least my eyes are open and/or focussed which makes a change to my usual pose/gurn (NB: props go to Yimmy for the awesome massage which elicited that facial expression!)

Bugger, i remember i had to play 2 games of ruugby right after PVD at QBH, i threw up everytime i got tackled.. ooohhh the pain!!!

In response to your question about Sat nights... Cant happen (well not at room anyway) Cause Volume is/has really taken off big time!!! It fucking ROCKS these days! Very Nice tunage!!

P.S In all fact, i have no say in the fri/sat agenda of rooms so it could just be a sceptical point of view. or imo.

The videos I took during suburban train say otherwise.

i've posted paulie's priceless gurner here before
a search for "paulie gurn" would work

Posted by Philby on Aug-28-2005 11:37:

ok ill have a look. ps. i want steve's set list! theres a track he played i thought sounded brilliant about 45 mins into his set or something, really dark and nasty, loved it!

Posted by 00soups00 on Aug-28-2005 12:07:

what a fantastic night. loved it thoroughly and was so proud to see scotty up there and make it happen well done champ!! and as far your set, WOW! i have never see you play a full set for some reason but my god i was glad to be front and centre for that one.

well done to steve as well playing a blinder.. congrats.. some mad tunes in there and starting with the full length piano version of 3rd earth.. *DROOL*

jules what a corker of a set...some hot tunes and great breaks one to change things up as well.. nice werk dude!

Only caught the last two tunes of panas' set because i was monging int he front room i think, infact that whole 2hr period was a blur but hopefully there are some phtoos to prove it

great to meet paulie.. seriously.. its good to see he aint like he is on line. Top Bloke.

... cannot wait for the next one as it will give them a chance to iron out the flaws and clean things up that need to be cleaned and then come back bigger and better..

good to see the usuals out there and see jiza and who i think was his missus out again and plenty of others who aint usually out and about..

WHERE ARE THE FOTOS??

would be good if dj's release there tracklists.. would be a nice touch

great night!!!

Anyone else for a giant slice of jade pie??

What else can i say... but WOW!
i can only imagine how it must have felt for you boys to have this night finally become a reality (seeing as i have been beside myself for 6 months waiting!!)
JPL - UTTER FUCKING CLASS! as always blown away by your form man, but most of all i'm over the moon that, at that time, u got a damn fine crowd in front of ya.
Stevey - NO SLEEP? NO PROBLEM! big banging couple o hours from mr strangis got me on the floor - no mean feat. much respect.
Pana - wasn't quite my thing man, just didn't quite pick up where the others left off, so i took a bit of a chance to spend somemore time in the front room. I know theres heaps of factors, pass-outs, drinkers bed time, at a real stretch - even a "full working week". Not sure what the plan was, but being a punter myself, just wasn't the time n place for ME to be re-educated. Changing things up is a great idea, just depends how it's done.

no disrespect, but the only track anyone who stayed for the set mentioned is the same one.

Keltec, Jono, and Lance - FFAARRRKK! swinging good time all night! great work!!
Scotty - unmistakably blown away. back on the floor and dancing my ass off until stumps! and Sound of Goodbye? AARRRHH!! winner!

All up i wanna say congrats to everyone, EVERYone involved, the night was a massive success, and I can't wait for number 2!!

It would be interesting to see what that video would look like compared to footage of the end of the guy that was before him, its lucky the crowd wasn't too loud or else you would have heard half the crowd (those that left)complaining,

that 2:00am set dropped on its arse and never recovered til suburban train, WHICH I LOVE, i have seen that guy play before and have always been impressed, maybe he was just off his game that night

All said and done i will be at the next obsession, expexting to be impressed by him as i have been many times before.

Thats GOLD!!! Nice One!!

Posted by queen_vee on Aug-28-2005 23:27:

Oh wow, insane night... I had such a good time!

Loved all the music, LURVED a night of main room trance and a complimentary side of proggy breaks, my absolute perfect combo.

Lovely crowd, fantastic tunes (jules, you were awesome. Side room was niiice, loved jumping back in the main once and the crowd was seriously going off to Rapture!). Decor was top class and the screens were a great touch- Obsession certainly 'educated' me about music

Massive congrats to absolutely everyone involved, you seriously pulled it off.

Can't wait for the next one- methinks keep it monthly, keep it special. Nice one
