Those KEY players that played in 2002, have failed to do anything. The youngsters should of played in WC. I think this is a smart move because their thristy & hungry for success

P.S. Memory recall. WC 1974, for 3rd place Poland 1-0 Brazil

IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING

I can only hope Poland repeats what they accomplished in 1974 but they really need to pick their play up. I'm optimistic but not expecting much more than getting through the 1st round, but then again this is soccer and anything is possible.

Couldn't agree more. Most Canadians just don't understand the beauty of the game and i don't think they ever will.

Yup! sadly we are living in a totally different world over here. Canada is still living in the little bubble USA used to be in. Compare the kind of coverage we get here vs over in the UK: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foo...age/5037426.stm

I love Ronaldinho! Wikked skills!

the funniest thing about the video with the chick attacking him is how she explained herself... "I'm his biggest fan, wanted to see him closer, and i don't really care, I'm gonna do it again". lol. she was fined.

and i'm officially excited for the World Cup! bring it on.

dont know if this was posted yet but...

The World Cup is such a big event that it requires a big screen.

And there are few bigger than the one at the Rogers Centre, where the Blue Jays usually nest.

But while they wont be there on July 9th, chances are the place will still be packed.

The reason? Whats arguably the worlds most prominent sporting event is going to be shown on the giant screen.

And youre invited to watch it there along with thousands of other screaming football fans.

For free.

The domed arena is holding an all day soccer fest, including interactive European football challenges like kicking cages and penalty shots.

Toronto is a nation of immigrants and soccer is the game of the world, declares Mayor David Miller. Everyone plays football in every country and we can see it in this country. And it is a great thing. And it will be so exciting here on July 9.

"Every Torontonian will want to be here. So you better get your tickets quickly.

Especially when theyre free. Theyre available at any Rogers Video store beginning June 9th.

I feel good this year...they always choke at the end no matter what but I have faith ...They destroyed Jamaica 6:0 today (the Jamaicans were just probabbly stoned the whole game)

Posted by AmbiguousBliss on Jun-03-2006 17:04:

For some reason...

I don't feel as though Brazil's gonna win this time around.

In any case, The World Cup's another lovely excuse to buy an even bigger big-screen TV and drink plenty of beer!

Yes looks like they have a good path to the 1/4 finals at least!
I dont think Brazil's gonna take it this time either...
But I think it will be Brazil and a European sleeper in the Final!!!

Well there's E'too (sp) and Drogba somewhere in there, you never know nobody really follows African football but these guys are good
