Will you be coming up with the goods? Or is this just PauLie_C's plan to make you play those songs or we'll all kill you?

Posted by FiK on Feb-20-2006 16:14:

honestly i'd love to see some of Guetta but really dont want to risk getting shut out and missing the start of Armin... fkn sucks tho.

Reckn it would even be a struggle to get in to vodafone an hour before Armin??

Posted by charlee on Feb-20-2006 21:33:

Steve Strangis is pumping you all up on ITM guys. Be proud!

Oh man, I'm not going to get ANY work done these next couple days..

Posted by Jake willo on Feb-20-2006 22:07:

Looking at the line-up it could be a blessing (in disguise) that Morillo is on at 2.30am so he clashes with armin, surely this will disperse the crowd a bit??

Do they sell drinks in the Vodaphone and are there toilets etc? Otherwise it could be a nightmare!

The toilets are in the foyer. I only think you can buy drinks in the actual arena if you are a VIP.

Already got normal tickets...is there any chance you can up-grade to vip?? if you pay more cash?

What else does it entitle you to?

VIP's arent more expensive you just need promo whore hook ups. Just take a big bottle of water in with you or ask one of your fellow TA's who has a VIP to get you a drink....and go crazy!!

Posted by Dean Millson on Feb-20-2006 22:23:

From my meory there is always a bar at the back of everey arena so buying drinks insdie wont be a problem. There is a VIP bar at ths side of each of the main stages i think.

I stand corrected!

I am not sure how easy it will be to walk to the back of the arena though

hmmmm cromack vs. callender and then technasia live set, it is looking more and more likely that armin will go out the window and the tech parade will commence. it will also mean not worrying about getting into vodafone, apart from maverick's set.

Posted by PauLie_C on Feb-20-2006 23:40:

my plans are as follows:

10pm GU room to watch the german fella
11pm run to vodafone to watch silence boy
12am run back to the GU room to watch Mr KC
1:30am run back to vodafone and end my nite in there watching armin

5:30am

two tribes finishes for me

I reckon my night is going to look something like this...

10.00 - 11.00 Dean Millson (GU)
11.00 - 11.30 Mata Radovich vs Sam McEwin (Hardware)
11.30 - 12.00 Steve Strangis (Gods Kitchen)

01.00 - 02.00 Markus Schultz (Gods Kitchen)
02.00 - 02.30 Blackstrobe (Hardware)
02.30 - 03.00 Cromack vs Calander (Hardware)
03.00 - 04.30 Max Graham (GU)
04.30 - 06.00 Dylan Rhymes (Futurebreaks)
06.00 - 07.00 Quinn & Mangan (GU)

Going to make an extra effort not get lost half way through that and spend my entire night in the green room like GK

Posted by bec on Feb-21-2006 00:00:

so many places I want to be, but so many queues!

Normally I spend a good part of the night wandering trying to check out everyone but I know once I leave GK I won't be getting back in in a hurry.

crossing my fingers for no rain (coz rain = even bigger queues..)

Can you just put me in a nap sack on your back? Oh hang on!! No Armin? Either way dont think I will be spending much time in the green room, unless I hide in the toilet

Posted by Teflon_Teapot on Feb-21-2006 00:09:

it is going to be 34 on saturday, with a possible late change.

dean you will need some form of teleportation device to transport you around to all those sets, or possibly someone doing a continuos spinning bird kick to clear your path?

if you even get to half of those i will be impressed.

He has an artist pass Gene. No queues for red beard

Either way I will holding a spinning birdkick workshop out the front of Vodafone with PaulieC's beagle by my side. And then I will gurn by the ferris wheel!!!

Posted by sezzy on Feb-21-2006 00:16:

great 34 degress is brilliant! wouldn't trust those weather guys though. have to wait and see i guesse.

Posted by Teflon_Teapot on Feb-21-2006 00:21:

there is still walking to get to the venues, and the distractions along the way and so forth.

the max graham set is another i would be interested to see, although i have a strong feeling he will play commercial.

Posted by charlee on Feb-21-2006 00:23:

I know what you mean. I hardly saw any acts last year.

Posted by bec on Feb-21-2006 00:33:

I spent most of last year wandering about in a daze or stuck in queues.

At GK last year I decided I wasn't going to do that, and stuck to a plan. I was kinda disappointed that at a huge festival I only saw 3 acts, but they were the 3 I wanted to see so I was happy.

I've kinda got a plan but will see what the crowd is like around Vodafone quite early. But random wandering is also high on my list.

Does anyone know for sure if there will be jumping castle and ferris wheel and/or other such entertainment? I think last year they were on the little map the FE released (fantasy castle ftw!)

Posted by Teflon_Teapot on Feb-21-2006 00:34:

the only act i saw last year was prodigy, after that its all very hazy.

they always have this kind of stuff, its where all the fluff blend into their surroundings and dont stand out like a sore thumb. also where i sit and gurn at them, when i need a break.
