Sasha's second hour was insane. If you didn't lose it to that then there's no hope for you.
yeah it was pretty good.
i have nothing else constructive to add.
that was a sensational night...
kicked things off with a wicked pre-party session at my joint, moving on to QBH with a short walk down a freezing street at about 1030ish.. great not to have to line up at all and it was 'straight thru govna' to see Chris Meehan..
Loved the club, loved the space (until it got full) and was basically loving everything. The tunes were madt, the company was awesome and saw some old friends of mine and made a new one (thank you monkey girl)
headed home at about 6 and apart from a couple of weird occurances happening early morning it was stress free, tunes-a-plenty day which finished off with the last person leaving at 9pm on Tuesday night...
Pics and Video and accounts from different perspectives are sure to follow....
i recognised one tune all night from S&D (Saints & Sinners - Pushin' Too Hard) and i didnt care a bit.. the tunes were rocking and they were awesome.. never knew who was playing at what times, it just sounded all fantastiic.
<-- get a room (preferably not the main room)

QBH renovations are pretty awesome!!!!
Sasha and Digweed should lay off the downers...also whats happened to the goold old 12"
oh shit.
After a day not feeling the best and being a little flat I downed 2 panadol and had a couple of beers while arriving to Soupsy apartment (which I could hear 3 blocks away) and subsequently had a complaint not long after I arrived, apparently from someone that lived outside the complex haha. We left just after 10 and had a pleasant walk to QB, where we were treated to the lovely sounds of Al Mac. Knock Knock, whos there?...
Very impressed to be able to walk straight in and the club wasnt that full, Sasha & Digweed as I thought would bring a lot of people together and I spent the next 30 mins bumping into many people Id met over my last 7 yrs of clubbing.
Digweeds first 30 mins was fairly ordinary but had a good finish, the 2nd track he played was absolute rubbish, the one he trainwrecked didnt think id ever see that, perhaps Im being harsh, but he was to make up for it later on. Sashas efforts were amazing, while playing a slighty different sound to John, I thought they combined beautifully. The 2nd sets of both Sasha and Digweed had the best progressive I think you can expect nowadays. The phwaor meter was being worked overtime (especially in the breakdown to Pryda Remember) and the EQ knob twiddling was being exchanged at high volume between Steve and myself. Great times!
I was absolutely exhausted by the end of it but felt fulfilled none the less and dont ever usually dance the whole way through a set and especially not for 5 hrs straight. I didnt think the extra hour had much point as I would have licked to see the set finish at Moby Go (trentemoller) and perhaps Xpander after that
Nonetheless fuckin brilliant set and my best night out in the last 4 years. Loved the vibe of the crowd, very crowded early on but had perfect space to rock with 2hrs remaining.
Recovery was pretty fun, and somehow ended up wearing a plunger around my neck to Coles. Soupy having Calippos and Jager had me in stitches, great idea!!
Pop Rock on the nose let me down. Ah well, good times were had Now I think I need a break till at least Friday

Edit: they did look bored I wouldnt say they didnt look into it, perhaps they were just really focused. Xpander and some sasha jumping would have given the night Top 3 status

My friend Sasha!

Beer Lovahs!!

G & V

Pappa
Had a great night
Gavin's warm up set was just perfect, that guy cant put a foot wrong when it comes to DJing. Oh and thanks for the beers Virginia!
The whole night is really a blur to me. I remember cool tunes, Digweeds hair straightening disaster, harrassing Bateman and power dancing to Jono Fernandez. The back bar was full of Melbourne talent, all sinking loads of piss! Lots of happy faces. Pappa was a crack up! He was so excited to be home and just having a blast
As I only got in to Sasha & Digweed over the last few years I didnt really have an expectation, I only hoped it was going to be more exciting than that stupid Delta Heavy DVD (almost as boring as Decade of Dance). I wasnt disappointed but have learnt that my concentration span does not last a five hour set and I was exhausted before Quinny even came on.
I have loads more pics but will load them up when I catch up on the work I have missed from my four days of bliss!
the phw0ar meter was going off the charts
best night i been out to since chable and digweed at bedrock in brighton.
never seen em play together before, and i can see why they are who they are and why they have had so much influence on the scene. fkn rocked
mad companies all night - u guys know who u r - fkn legends the lot of ya

damn!

Now to sit back and wait for the photochop
PS please not me first... again...
in digweed's defence re: trainwrecking, perhaps he was having trouble with one of the CDJ since i saw the soundman was fiddling around with the cables soon after.. i find it hard to believe that someone with 20yrs of DJing can easily choke on his 2nd track due to something other than equipment error...

| And there's the difference between dancing and just listening. I like to party all night, but the music has to keep me just as entertained as on the dancfloor, as when chillin and listening... and that's what trance does for me. |
DUDE if you wanted trance you shouldve gone somewhere else.| quote: |
| a track will come out of nowhere, bring me onto the floor and keep me there for the rest of the night... |
that little boy with the big eye in the back was fekt talking to me in Scottish accent and he kept going crosseyed.
