It was just one lose. Nothing to worry about. The same happened last year.

Nothing but that wasn't my point. This is the group stage and a defeat is not that alarming, specially for a team like Real Madrid.

Come on, Inter lost as well and I'm sure you're not worried at all at this point. Are you?

And fast, you said Real Madrid would at least reach the quarterfinals which means you have a lot of confidence in this team (odd for a Barca supporter). Agree with yourself before you try to make a point.

Well...

I haven't watched the game, but from what I've read and being told, it was just ugly... I'm just terribly disappointed, but we gotta move on quickly. It's just the first game and there are 5 more games to regain our shape. Time to focus in La Liga now, no time to think about the past, Lyon was better and that's that, period.

Putos FTWWW
what a game!!!!! amazing show from putos! keep it!

Posted by zoric on Sep-17-2006 20:33:

Putos you ******s, the referee gave Aranburu a red card because of a yellow card challenge.

I've seen a million times worse challenges, Go Sociedad the last couple of minutes.

Daj gol Darko!

LOL...

Ahhh what an ugly game, but a win nevertheless...

I was just glad to see Raul improving his game... Emerson was beyond disaster, he seems to be playing injured or something, but my goodness, he wasn't even running. Diarra, Ramos and Reyes by far the best players today.

Still a lot of room for improvement.

Posted by zoric on Sep-17-2006 21:06:

This was a disaster actually.

Real Madrid played very bad but still won this game, and that's what the whole thing is about. Emerson is such a overrated player, and I can say that without bias now. Ramos puts up a good game as always, but he'll have to learn how to play a little calmer because he can easily get booked and sent off for his challenges, That's probably a thing he'll learn later on in his career.

Reyes scored that goal from the freekick, and the game just died, Literally after that goal. It also felt like Riesgo can be blamed for that goal, it wasn't a that good freekick, but still a goal.

The second goal is nothing to talk about, Beckham comes 1-on-1 against the goalkeeper and has like 2-3 players with him. He scores 2:0 and the game ended there.

I've got to say that challenge on Ramos wasn't a sending off, It was harsh, and no, He didn't really touch Ramos who showed that people can fly. It was more of a yellow card, not a red card. But then again, It's hard to be a referee and the Spanish refs sucks balls, Something we all are aware of..

Congratulations to the win Putos.

Unattractive game. Real Sociedad was playing in their half most of the time making it hard for Real to create a chance to score. The match got somewhat more interesting with Real's first goal because Sociedad started attacking.

Raul spent the first half clapping. What the hell is up with that? He needs to move more and be more of a threat. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in the bench down the line.

Nice goal by Reyes. He seems comfortable playing with his new team. It could be a great season for him.

Nice finish by Beckham in the counter towards the end of the match.

As for Kaka II, also known as Diarra, he needs to step up his game. He didn't convince me at all today.

Come back Ronaldo!

The reason why he isn't playing any good is basically that Emerson and him are to alike. It reminds me of Lampard & Gerrard in England.

That may be. But when Emerson came off Kaka II still didn't convince. I stand by my comment.

It's hard to create anything when you're playing on such a short time together with someone else, mate. I'm sure Diarra can show he's goodness.

I know that and that's why I hope he performs better in the future. I have confidence in him but I still stand by my comment.

Allright. Currently perhaps, but time will tell..

Posted by sensorium on Sep-17-2006 21:53:

I just hope Real reaches the top of the table and Barca stays below second. Is that too much to ask for?
