No one can take that away from anybody. Especially for first timers as there is no contrast or comparison. And so a good time is a good time. Your right, wicked. That falls under a subjective realm. For me it's more a matter of what I was sold compared to what I bought. Not to bring money into it or to put too fine a point on it but these are fact and are not subjective. That said, how can you say that you don't know what people are talking about?

I kinda thought so too But I'm sure Josh knew this, he was just publicly stating it so that masses that DIDNT know this now know it of him, I'm shure!

Innercity must've been awesome...I need to see Tiesto atleast once in Amsterdam!

Posted by Mag1k on Dec-12-2006 04:31:

Im not going to write a negative review but I will state the fact that this is the very last time I will see Tiesto live... It was my third time seeing him and at the very least Im glad I got it out of my system...
Track selection was alright, although I expected to hear a bit more of his latest stuff.
The people were pretty cool, lots of good looking girls, unfortunetly that is the very last thing I went for that night... Went even as far as stepping to the side when some gina with five layers of makeup kept backing her ass into me . People were friendly though.

The most bullshit part about the whole event was the freaking smoking ...... Being the sensible person I am, I decided to use the coat check, that was prior to finding out that the I was expected to smoke outside in weather colder than Sasquatch's ass... Considering I was wearing nothing more than a tshirt and jeans, after my second smoking attempt I gave up and began smoking inside the club....

No regrets about the event but lessons learned.

Props to the TA's I met

In case you're wondering what a 50,000 people sold out event looks like - Tiesto's performance on main stage (1 out of 8)...

Shot from the VIP stage...not by me tho I was right at the stage

Most def the greatest party I've ever been to...second greatest was the one in TO of course

I have a similar clip of PVD as well (yep him & Tiesto & Sven Vath on the same stage same event)...should upload it I guess

Ya..., ok, I can see where this is going and based on your response, clearly you are just choked that I had something to say about your post. You didn't then and you haven't even now seen what I was trying to say. Cenik reminded me yesterday and so I have been trying to get across the non subjective side to my point.

Listen, I'm not trying to bust on you but from one HC T fan to another. Project Orange "EXTENDED SET"!!!!! Was fucking 9 hrs I think. It was a well executed show with all the elements. One crazy journey. Not half assing it making a pre arranged set list work....sorta. And I'm sorry (and this kills me to say) That bullshit with the 'T' shirts at the end really fucking sucked....

Addendum:I'm really not trying to pick a fight with anybody and I'm not saying that anybodies opinion doesn't count. I don't know if it's denial or what. But I know from where I sit that it was really hard to face the truth after all that crazy crazy hype in Roll Call. Just a little honest objectivity.

Would you be pissed if you went to some Country hoedown and they played some rap song..
I know I would be.

And what said about the business aspect is ... but is sad.

He SHOULD be spinning for his pleasure and cause he loves too...
He SHOULD be spinning for the fans...
He SHOULD be spinning for our pleasure...

and if the fans don't want to listen to R&B..then he shouldn't play them. If it wasn't for the fans, he would have no business period.

I still Love Tiesto to death and will go see him whenever I get a chance...but it shouldn't be all about Business...

i get there and there is no more coatcheck. Good Start.

I got my VIP for free, I get up stairs and no one even gives a shit what is going on. mostly people drinking, taling, just wanting to be seen...I had to leave, go back down stairs, Tiesto was mediocre, NOTHING WORTH TALKING ABOUT he was was off, I think he brought a recorded set from his super show in Niagara, and played that all over again.

The Tiesto I came to enjoy many years ago has been consumed by a schedule that wants more and more of his appearances, and less of his talent.

I wish we could go back to a Wednesday Tiesto parties at the docks, where maybe 1500 people were there from start to finish, that was a party. This sardine festival was not worth it.

Love Comes Again is not an oldie. It's a piece of shit. Tiesto has played that and Adagio For Strings the last 3 times I've seen him spread out over 2 years. He seriously need to play some newer shit.

lol, it's true! I can't believe that guy is saying Love Comes Again is an oldie. Gouryella is an oldie, so is Endless Wave. I love how everyone just sings along with Love C.A. too! It always gets some serious eye rolling from me and a lot of other people. I cant believe he still plays the same 5-6 of his own tracks EVERY time he's in Toronto lately.

Fuck, it's so true. Not sure if you read my initial post in this thread but I caught some shit. The one thing I didn't think of is first times and for them I should have kept my mouth shut. But fuck. I guess I look at some of the video that's up and it almost seems like there is more energy then I remember. But those are the people so be it. I'm sticking with my mixed tape impression. I think that it was you that was talking about the "Wednesday night Tiesto shows at the docks"? Those were the days when he actually lived but the 3 track setup and the rest was all crowd.

I didn't bring it up but I referenced it (and 2004) and was there right at the front for both those great shows. There was a fair bit of energy this most recent time from everyone though. But most of your original Tiesto fans that have been there at least since 2000 were probably at the Guvernment, or at home. I didn't have a horrible time, I don't mean it to seem that way. He played some decent stuff but it's clear to me he isnt the Tiesto I grew to love many years ago. That's cool though; both artists and people's tastes change. There's no sense in whining or flaming Tiesto ad nauseum like many people have done the last couple of years.
