Teisto - Element of Life = GOOD.
Totally forgettable. Except for D4L, which was outright bad... the stuff is so very mediocre. I don't remember a single tune after listening to this five times. *deletes*

yet i heard Jes - Everything on matt dareys nocturnal episode 84.. and i actually loved it .. yet i dunno how it sounds in tiestos album o.o
if it sounds the same as in matt darey's nocturnal episode 84 mix.. then +1000000
if not then i still don't like the album.
Break My Fall is so damned cheesey with the synthed up BT vocal. I get goose bumps listening to that track. I had to skip in a shameful way. He should not be singing at all IMHO

IMHO
Love comes again was a big cheese hit despite voco'ed the hell out too
I think he should go back and create trancey magic like Mercury and Solace or my fave Godspeed...
i don't think there is a solid track on the album
I be listening to Just Be and In My Memory when driving these days, and damn, it's a shame how this album cannot quiet compare, but I do still appreciate it, and it has a few tracks that do stand out and I do still listen to a lot at the moment.

, like a milestone ahead, prehistorical.

1. Ten Seconds Before Sunrise - Nice and lovely opening tune 4/5.
2. Everything - Maybe my favorite on the album. Great tune! 5/5
3. Do You Feel Me - Actually not a bad tune. But doesn't catch me properly. 3.5/5.
4. Carpe Noctum - I don't like this tune at all. Garbage if you ask me. Maybe it works fine on the dancefloor. 1.5/5
5. Driving To Heaven - This is THE ripoff tune of the album. Everything is hardly a ripoff compared to this. Based on this I give this 0/5. It's simply just an edit of the original tune.
6. Sweet Things - Co-produced by BT. Heard much critic about this tune. I love it! 5/5
7. Bright Morningstar - Co-produced by BT. Great melody here, beautiful tune. Still waiting for a hard mix/remixes. 4/5
8. Break My Fall - I actually like this tune too. 4/5
9. In The Dark - A lot of people seemed to call this the worst tune at first. Probably because it was announced as a "rock trance" tune before people hardly heard it. In my ears a tune that is hard to hate in general. 4.5/5
10. Dance4Life - No comment
11. Elements Of Life - Written by Geert which you can obviously hear on the classical melody. Reminds a lot of Adagio For Strings and Euphoria. I'm in doubt with this tune. I like the idea a lot, but it's too "cheesy" Tisto. The buildup and all is awesome and sounds promising, but when the climax kicks in... it sounds too obvious/standard. Beiking kind I'll give it a 3/5
12. He's A Pirate - No comment
My rough review.
Overall I'll give it a 4/5

2 tracks stick out for me on this one, unfortunately I'm one of the "stuck" people that love the genre's heyday in 98/99.
Elements of Life really took me back to those days, very Gouryella-esque - in fact having heard this in a club a couple of weeks previous to getting the album land on my doormat, I swore blind it was a Gouryella/Vimana track and spent a fair while looking it up. Bugger me, it's been a long time since a track made me feel like this one. There just isn't the talent any more.
Hang on, the last one was a mix of Ligaya (yoji biomehanika remix iirc).
All in all, it just makes me go "ooooooooooooh".
He's a Pirate I also love too - I can't say why, just love the way it's done. I guess it just says a lot for my particular tastes
I've only just listened to this album recently (yes, a year later than everyone else), but I throughly enjoyed it. It has some sense of progression and direction which many artist albums seem to be lacking these days.
'Break My Fall' has really grown on me, and there are some great tracks in the EOL tour.
Not an amazing CD but not at all poor either imo.
Anyway, going to see him in concert on 12th at AgeHa. Should be a good 'un.

Went to see him last march. Wasn't what i had hoped for but was still real good. Not too fond of his recent tracks at all though. In my memory still serves as his best release
fuck elements of life
im listening to np: DJ Tiesto - Live at Club Space 08-18-2002 "Live at Club Space-08-18"
and catched jericho personal reflexion...
woot a fuckin tune
Driving To Heaven is my choon of the album.
Im keen to hear the Mat Zo remix of it when Elements of Life: Remixed comes out this year.
Driving To Heaven is nice, but it's total ripoff of a tune Tisto used to play some years ago... Dibaba - Hold You
