When it comes to a master's degree though..I think it's more important to find a school that offers courses that meet your interests. Not all programs focus on the same learning outcomes. Some of the best unis here offer really shit master's programs (well, they don't appeal to me, at any rate ).

how did this thread go from Jay's grandparents making lamp shades outta the new whore's grandparents to a cross-jurisdictional comparison of educational requirements/options for nurses?

We're women, this is what we do. What the fuck do you want from us other than a beej and a sammich? Now shut the fuck up, Craig. *slap*

It is. And FIU now has a medical school I'd really love to go to Barry. Maybe I should move closer to where it is lol.

Posted by Slylee on Oct-16-2009 17:47:

yea and a law school as well. i was considering it back when i was taking classes at BCC and wanting to go all the way through with a BA and law school. i was pretty much considering FIU for both.

Because we have idiots making the decisions.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Oct-16-2009 18:23:

Again, I'm inclined to believe it comes down to money. Research has clearly shown a strong link between better patient outcomes and practitioners with more education. But obviously it costs more money to employ and retain those people.

That's why you never see PSWs (personal support workers) or any other unlicensed worker in a hospital (up here at least )...because it's been proven that the mortality rate is higher with them in the workplace. Isn't that horrible? Lol.

Actually, just reading in my psychiatric nursing book here, the DSM-IV-TR diagnostic criteria for sociopaths. Seems like Jay really does fit the bill. If any of these behaviors started in adolescence, we have a winner.

Oh thank fuck. That's actually the kind of answer I was looking for. Reading the criteria, Jay does fit pretty well, it must be said. Do you think he's lying about a stable relationship and a collection of expensive cats? Or do you think he's capable of being responsible and vents his shit online?

I'm not trolling anymore, by the way. I actually respect your opinion, since you've substantiated it.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Oct-16-2009 18:26:

Lol are you for real?

*slap*

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Oct-16-2009 18:32:

Yep. Never once have I actually said Jay is normal, Jay's done nothing wrong, I condone Jay's behaviour.

I wanted to hear a proper argument. Now I've heard one. You don't think I was actually angry at any point, do you?

You came across pretty angry to me.

I mean you really went out of your way to badger Jamie about it. Lol.

And to be honest I could have posted that a lot sooner just to shut you up...but like Jamie I didn't want to give you the satisfaction of engaging your tirade.

I think blood from the big J.C.'s stigmata wounds may be a more pressing concern.

Edit... an why all the brothas gotta be put in the back... 'cept that uncle tom mutha fucka in uniform.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Oct-16-2009 18:45:

I'm more worried about that group of people on the bottom right. What they are so upset about?

Meh. Here's a bit of psychology. I don't know how much stock you have in Myers-Briggs personality tests, but here's what mine says:

quote:
ENTPs are usually verbally as well as cerebrally quick, and generally love to argue--both for its own sake, and to show off their often-impressive skills. They tend to have a perverse sense of humor as well, and enjoy playing devil's advocate. They sometimes confuse, even inadvertently hurt, those who don't understand or accept the concept of argument as a sport.

Give me something to argue about, and I'll do it. Doesn't mean I hate anyone or I care beyond the limit of the thread. It should be pretty obvious that I don't know you or Jamie and Ania or anything about you, and what I have to say is just banter, pot-stirring for entertainment. Last night I was listening to a double-disc album to review, and I needed something to do for 160 minutes.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Oct-16-2009 18:53:

Yeah right! You cold busted son. That's ok, I forgive you. Let's hold hands.

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Oct-16-2009 18:53:

And what is up with this guy?:

Posted by Silky Johnson on Oct-16-2009 18:55:

You idiot, that's Darth Sidious.
