When it comes to a master's degree though..I think it's more important to find a school that offers courses that meet your interests. Not all programs focus on the same learning outcomes. Some of the best unis here offer really shit master's programs (well, they don't appeal to me, at any rate
).
how did this thread go from Jay's grandparents making lamp shades outta the new whore's grandparents to a cross-jurisdictional comparison of educational requirements/options for nurses?
We're women, this is what we do. What the fuck do you want from us other than a beej and a sammich? Now shut the fuck up, Craig. *slap*
lol beej

Originally posted by Slylee yea FIU is becoming more and more accredited. my ex went to graduate school there after getting his BA from ohio state. i just know that UM is an excellent school and yes, very expensive. i just figured if you're going for your masters, why not go to UM? barry is great too but yea i think it's in north miami?
I'd really love to go to Barry. Maybe I should move closer to where it is lol.
yea and a law school as well. i was considering it back when i was taking classes at BCC and wanting to go all the way through with a BA and law school. i was pretty much considering FIU for both.

Originally posted by jennypie That's actually good though...because obviously it provides people with opportunity. I just don't understand why the States of all countries is lagging behind, especially since many of the leaders of the profession are Americans. I'm sure it all comes down to money somehow, once again, lol.
Again, I'm inclined to believe it comes down to money. Research has clearly shown a strong link between better patient outcomes and practitioners with more education. But obviously it costs more money to employ and retain those people.
That's why you never see PSWs (personal support workers) or any other unlicensed worker in a hospital (up here at least
)...because it's been proven that the mortality rate is higher with them in the workplace. Isn't that horrible? Lol.

Originally posted by jennypie Actually, just reading in my psychiatric nursing book here, the DSM-IV-TR diagnostic criteria for sociopaths. Seems like Jay really does fit the bill. If any of these behaviors started in adolescence, we have a winner.
Lol are you for real?
*slap*
Yep. Never once have I actually said Jay is normal, Jay's done nothing wrong, I condone Jay's behaviour.
I wanted to hear a proper argument. Now I've heard one. You don't think I was actually angry at any point, do you?

Originally posted by jennypie You came across pretty angry to me. I mean you really went out of your way to badger Jamie about it. Lol. And to be honest I could have posted that a lot sooner just to shut you up...but like Jamie I didn't want to give you the satisfaction of engaging your tirade.

ENTPs are usually verbally as well as cerebrally quick, and generally love to argue--both for its own sake, and to show off their often-impressive skills. They tend to have a perverse sense of humor as well, and enjoy playing devil's advocate. They sometimes confuse, even inadvertently hurt, those who don't understand or accept the concept of argument as a sport.
Yeah right! You cold busted son. That's ok, I forgive you. Let's hold hands.
And what is up with this guy?:
You idiot, that's Darth Sidious.
