After I refused to listen to their rantings anymore, they all fucked off. * Half the girls in this city won't have sex till marriage (and of course all the female friends I did get had to end up being those kind of people) * Got sick of the whole courting process after being rejected again and again cos I didn't look good enough and/or wasn't popular enough * Always been the odd one out where I live (different ethics and morals, different interests, different tastes etc.) * Dramatic shifts in my personality scared people away, since they no longer knew where they had me * And of course my overall moodiness and depressive tendencies aren't exactly the biggest girl magnet there is. So I'm stuck for now it seems. I hope something happens this summer or when I move to Oslo this autumn though. |

| Originally posted by Heinz that reallly sucks. go on extreme makeover. i used to be ugly. its called the ugly duckling stage. i think we all go through it once in our lives. when you have braces, acne, your skinny, and your voice cracks. but then, you start lifting weights, washing your face at night, the braces come off, and your voice finally matures. |

i kind of have the same problem as you. a lot of girls like me, and i get lots of looks places i go, but no girl like, likes me. its just im something good to look at, but other than that, they wont even admit that they have a thing for me. |

Oi, Leapa:
Having no friends left in Kristiansand is not actually a bad thing. You can use this time to withdraw a bit from social life and work on yourself for a LITTLE while. You said you had some mood changes and was often depressed, didn't you? Well, work on this. Do stuff you like. As for courting, it really depends on how you're doing it. If you look too desperate, doing far more than what the girl expects from blokes (remember girls are usually insecure and often have low self-steem), or if you're too slow, you're automatically out. Confidence is also the key: self-pitty will turn you into a cute boy, not in a potential lover.
Looks aren't that much important, as you know. All you need is to have that little something to make you different (ie: ever noticed girls fancy blokes who have the spotlight?). Impress her. I've had girls liking me because I speak many languages, because I play the saxophone, because I knew how to entertain them... ie, you can't be "just another one". You said you're the "odd" one, didn't you? This is the good part, all you need is to attract (good) attention to this peculiar side of yours. Most girls know I'm a lot into electronic music, and when I speak about it, I make it sound like the world's eigth wonder, and they seem to like the passionate feeling I have for it. Being well with yourself makes her well with her self, and once she's confortable, you're halfway through
Also, if you're looking for a girlfriend, as long as I've noticed, you're already wrong. This sort of thing is supposed to flow naturally (have you ever actually "looked for friends"?).

I think he lives in Kristiansand, a bit further away from oslo. Speaking of that, I think I'll be going to quart this year btw

Yea, Kristiansand is a 5 hour drive to Oslo.

| I know the feeling. I guess I'm another one of those who suffer from the well known nice guy-syndrome. I figured to do something bout that I'd start biting back and. And it worked, all the girls who want me as their vent have now fucked off. I'm still lonely though :/ |

Moving from Kristiansand will sure be a good thing for you, Leaper. From what I read, the place you're in is not helpful at all, so if you're having the chance to move, try to get all the good things you can from it. Before moving, though, no matter how much this next sentence may sound, remember that chances come inside out: no matter where you are, you're the one who chooses how you wanna see what's surrounding you. I reckon there's a whole bad mood about Kristiansand, so you can consider Oslo as a new beginning.

I'm 23 and I'm not a virgin anymore
I love it, but you should not do it too regularly, you get too used to it then....
So a break from time to time is very good imo...
