Talking

Jeez, thanks for the measurements dude, thats really helpful, i'll get my local carpenter to have a look... Perfect

Posted by ZeJayMan on Dec-01-2005 14:10:

I can't wait till i can post pictures on this freaking thing, taking inspiration from everyones pictures has helped me decide what I want everything to look like exactly, now all i need is a little bit of cash, or a big bit of cash, however you wanna look at it.

Posted by bxtreme on Dec-01-2005 17:02:

thank u for all the compliments guys... ZeJayMan: should add that these measurements are in centimeters .. u may want to make the back panel behind the desk a little taller so that the table doesnt wiggle. mine is slightly wiggly, but only if u add some slight pressure on the sides.. doesnt bother me at all..

i love the fact that the shelves for the CDJ's slide in & out. also that the mixer is on an angle

i really shoulda cleaned it up before taking pics but i was too lazy!

I wouldn't like that the CDJ's come out to the side while standing there....I would probably be looking straight ahead, go for a piss break, and knock them off or something

Look pretty nice though

If only that was a 4ch mixer i would have creamed myself.
I love how everything is so acessable and neat.

Posted by RJT on Dec-08-2005 06:23:

Looks nice Richard, but do you have to lean over at all for the CDJ's?

The only problem it looks like I'd have is that the CDJ's seem to be low, but maybe I just can't get the right perspective from the pics...

Looks real nice tho...

Nice. Great idea having the cd decks like that. They are accesible when needed but out of you way when not.
Can you post a link to a mix of yours?
I haven't been record shoping for months & I am looking for something new to listen to

4 channel would be sweet yes but oh well...

when i initially got this table made i had a brutal 2 channel numark mixer. i had to cut a bigger whole to fit this one in. But if you notice i didnt have a lot of space to work with (with the space available) which was another reason why i got this mixer. id NEVER utilize all 4 channels at once so im not too upset by it.

my table was built quite high to "avoid" straining my back so to answer your question, no...the cds arent too low (atleast for me anyway). im 5'11 and the record players pretty much at the same level as my rib cage.

it'll come one day bud I assure you! I would never have been able to afford my setup had it not been for injuring myself at work and winning an insurance claim

another thing too, my decks wouldve cost me around £700 new but I paid £400 (secondhand of course), My mixer shouldve been £300 but I paid £230. All in all I have a £1k setup thats cost just over £600.. result!!

I bought the decks first and a cheap shit numark dm950 mixer for £30.. then binned the dm950 for stanton smx 501.

oh I forgot to mention I've wanted turntables since I was 11.. Im almost 22.....Literally spent HALF my life waiting..
