| Originally posted by basd That might be true, but only for people that are training for shorter to mid distances (say, < 5k). I run 4 times a week (200-250k a month) but I've never even come close. I don't believe that pushing yourself that far does any good for you when you're a long distance runner. |

| Originally posted by Zild All I know is I'll never reach my career goals if I let a little bit of discomfort and vomit bother me. The guy I'm modeling myself after (SF) told me everyone throws up when they're trying to make time for their 10 mile runs, so they don't get dropped from the unit or from training. Another guy I know (pararescue) trying to get a friend to join the Air Force showed us some training videos from the special tactics squadrons, and they were all puking their guts up too. So I push myself hard knowing I will be pushed much harder in the future. If I can't handle it now I won't be able to handle it then. Either way everyone has to set their own goals and do whatever they feel comfortable with. I feel comfortable running myself until I feel nausea... others don't. That is cool if you don't but I wouldn't want that person on my team. |

Puking does not mean you are sick. Were not talking about an infection, lol. NYCE, do yourself a favor and pick up a few books cause you need it if your trying to judge me. I've been in this game a long time, and results don't lie. |

Wouldn't actually throwing up interfere with your workout?
Unless you puke at the very end I guess...

| Originally posted by Zild I agree with that. Like I said I haven't thrown up in awhile, but I do push myself to feel sick almost every day. |
Not really. We call it feeding the ducks, so you puke and keep on moving. Let the ducks clean it up.

| Originally posted by Excess chances are if you're doing timed 10 mile runs, you're in better cardiovascular fitness than most people even coming to an end on their HIIT workouts lol. it's designed for weight trainers to cut weight fast before a competition, and works well for those trying to lose weigt in general. you on the other and, probably dont have much weight to lose haha |

| Originally posted by Zild I do need to lose weight. I'm only doing 3mi a day right now. Building up to 5 mi in under 40 minutes and then after that going for 10mi in 75 minutes. |

| Originally posted by Excess this also argues my point as most of us here are not distance runners. as far as i'm concerned, you guys are inhuman monsters |

All goals are different, a concept the alternating caps dude doesn't grasp. I'll be riding MS Bike Century and 2 biathlons this year. I know what my future training needs are and whether or not HIIT is appropriate for me. |

LOL, so much animosity between different types of athletes.
Come on, guys, surely you can all just hold hands and unite to make fun of a fatty?

you've mistaken anger for seeing through your bullshit post. i'll run NYC any day all day baby
I train almost everyday with wed off for the body to rest.
I seperate muscle groups on adifferent day
For instance
Monday i did my back, + cardio and abs
Tuesday chest, cardio + abs
Today off
Thursday i will do tri/bi's + cardio and abs
Friday I will do Shoulders + cardio and abs.
I am starting to do legs again so i will probably incorporate this into a shoulder day or just go on saturday.
I Do 3 sets of each exercise with the last set till failure.
Im on On Whey protein and creatine monohydrate and clenbuterol (not recommended cause its dangerous if you dont know how to take it, its a fat burner btw )
Yesterday i broke into 95lbs dumbelll flat bench press (2 dumbells in each head doing a bench press) I will break into 100's in few weeks. 120 is the max in my gym.
I absolutely love working out. Im more focused towards cutting down to 15% body fat, im at 21.5 right now.
