"Could I have a 30.48cm pizza with ham and pineapple, go easy on the pineapple..." It just really doesnt work all that well, does it?

they were my first set of decks back in 2002, I liked them alot for the price. I now have Stanton100's, which I find phenomenal despite what the 14 year olds say on this forum.

Posted by idoru on Dec-24-2005 05:55:

Bwuahahahaha, it's mine!

Now I just need to figure out how to use it.

Posted by sr126 on Dec-24-2005 08:35:

damn, you guys are killing me. especially furniture wise... ;p

i've been meaning to finish off my desk, but i have been way to busy spending money on music...

here's a progression of how things went starting from the begining of 2005 till the end, in 3 distinct phases...

PHASE ONE:

PHASE TWO:

PHASE THREE:

i love my pmc55. especially w/the rotary kit. i had to bring back the krk v8's, the o2r, and the da-88's out of retirement. to rock it proper. this is so insane. i still have to dig up my sonic maximizer, and maybe pick up a graphic equalizer. i'm gonna be put out some serious mixed cd's next year.

picking up this mixer is THE smartest thing i have done in a while.
thanks to this mixer, i'm rebuilding my home studio. -as in now.

oh, the vmc-004 you see in the box in the corner of one of pics is officially up for sale. hit me up. i'll be putting it up on ebay soon w/pics.

ur records will warp if stored like that.

i suggest vertical storage and 99% of the booth would agree with me... the other 1% havent caught on yet....

but they will if they wanna keep there records in shape...

yeah i think everyone would agree!
but it looks like that was maybe just a set or somethin he was playin surely that cant be all his records!

i sometimes leave mine lyin at the side like that if im doin a set, if i need to move onto the next track quickly and i dont have time to go sifting through all my records to find it or put the other one away! then il tidy up as soon as the sets finished!

i dont store like that, when i play them i stack them on left or right speaker depending on which turntable its been on last, or if im not using my third turntable on that...

i have a few lp cases which i put them in...

i got one for xmas to..and im returning it tommorow. i think its a piece of shit to be honest lol..not worth the money at all and the effects sound like crap..also getting the levels right on it is such a bitch..i had a djm 500 (till it broke) and fx on that were much easier to control and such. i think im just gonna use that 400 bux and repair my old djm 500 instead of using my old crappy vestax that has no volume meters making it quite hard to get levels perfectly on lol.

Posted by idoru on Dec-27-2005 10:55:

RJT: Do you like how you have to setup the EFX with the Xone:62? I just got my EFX on Friday, and whenever I have one tune playing through the channel my EFX is set to while I transition in another tune with a filter on a different channel, that the filtered tune ends up on the efx channel, which can be a pain in the ass (if you were able to follow that ).

It also kinda sucks not being able to switch the EFX between tunes easily; you have to really slam the faders . Once I got used to those downsides, though, it became a helluva lot of fun.

I think it's really just dependent on whether or not you personally can "get" the hang of the EFX. I personally love the thing, but know just as many guys like you who think it's an absolute abomination. Personally, I think the EFX sound about a million times better than they do on the DJM500 (I rocked this mixer for 2 years before I got my Xone 62), and I'm confused as to how anyone thinks the EFX on a DJM 500 are easier to control or better sounding than this, but again, to each their own. I personally am already in love with this EFX unit, and I'm already considering buying a second one (So I can run CDJ --> EFX --> Mixer on each channel).

Right now I'm just running the EFX out of the Master out on the Xone 62, so I'm just effecting whatever is playing out of the master. I haven't tried to hook it up using the Auxillary out and running it back through a channel simply because I don't really understand how that's really supposed to work, but I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. As far as using EFX in the mix itself, I usually will just either use the filters on the Xone, or the only other thing I've tried so far is using a delay or echo effect on the low band and trying to create my own builds in the mix. I'm by no means even CLOSE to great on this thing yet, but I'm loving it already, and just real excited to start working in EFX more and more in my live sets.
