can anyone else support this?

how did u all book? where from

I used bestflights last year when i went to Japan/USA. Did a lot of research and worked out I saved at least $300 compared to what anyone else had on offer.Just make sure you read the fine print though as some "forced" stopovers can take hours and they dont always let u leave the airport. The sales team are really good though and always return calls and are willing to answer any questions. This year though I went thru a A-Z travel as teh owner is a friend of a work collegue. Saved $200 but its hardly worth the hassle and trouble endured as they are quite incompetent and dont return calls and mislead you with information.

probably better than STA travel though, thats who i went with last year, allthough they were good, they still rearranged flights and shit... and at one stage we were booked on a cargo flight... dont ask me how.. but yeah got them to sort that out!!

LFA tix are on sale now.

LFA website for more info. The english version isn't up yet though, but there are links to the ticketing sites in the german section. Ticketbox.nl is one of the companies selling tix (in English).

I know a better way

Email [email protected] (think thats his email, will confirm tonight)

tell him your international, he will put you and how ever many ppl are going on a PAYING door list... when you arrive.. your name will be down and you pay there....

However we did this.. but managed to get tickets in Berlin that week..

LFA NEVER sells out. .so dont worry.

id say try get tickets and get there early... as the guest list line was longer :P but the normal entrance was still slow... and its not good in pouring rain :P

but was a damn damn FUN night! muli?

Posted by eRRaTiK on Jun-07-2004 03:26:

don't forget that this also means there'll probably be a few less ppl in town than usual for LP weekend....meaning less ppl around for LFA....

Except for the people who've already booked flights and accomidation to Berlin that weekend, much easier if they just go out where they are staying.

Wax: Good call.

RE: Sensation

i just found my train ticket in a clean up..

but here is som usefull info

quote:
There are three official stations for the Amsterdam ArenA: Duivendrecht train and subway station, Strandvliet subway station and Bijlmer train and subway station. We advise you not to walk from Duivendrecht station (although some people on your train will take the 20 minute walk), but to travel one or two subway station further south by subway (#54 or #50, direction: Gein).
If you have a ticket for the north ('noord') section of the ArenA, Strandvliet station is the best station to get off.

If you have a ticket for any other section, Bijlmer is the best station to get off. From there it's just a 3 minute walk along ArenA Blvd.

We took a train from Amsterdam Central --> Duivendrecht Station...... and YES we did the 20min walk.. but it was more like 5 mins.... it wasnt bad at all.

4 days for me...

Posted by eRRaTiK on Jun-15-2004 07:44:

what airline are you taking? any stopover?

Posted by tubby on Jun-15-2004 07:55:

9 more days to go for me, not that i'm counting or anything.
is driving in amsterdam as bad as people seem to imply? I have to get from there to hengelo, about 2 hours west, on a sunday night. Don't fancy having to face a train and hope someone meets me at the other end, and since work is paying would like to just rent a car.

Posted by eRRaTiK on Jun-15-2004 08:42:

probably an idea to post that question in the holland forum

Singapore Airlines of course..hehehe...gotta luv individual tvs for every seat...and nintendo on demand *lol*

stopping over for 6 hours in singapore for some serious shopping at changi...not overnight tho - wanted to spend as long as possible in egypt... so, 8 hour flight to singapore, then 7 hours to dubai, then another 4 to cairo.......considering i'm never able to sleep on planes, i'm gonna be a wreck when i get there i forgot just how much i despise international air travel...grrrr

then in europe, flyin mostly Lufthansa

if you choose to take the deprive yourself of sleep option before you get on the plane so hopefully you collapse from exhaustion once the planes taken off, just don't do what a friend of mine TRIED to do before his 3month tour of usa/canada...deprived himself of sleep for a good 2-3 days, fell into a deep deep sleep in the airport lounge waiting for his plane to be called...eventually got woken up by a very kind, but irate member of the airport staff. luckily he'd checked in so they were calling his name from the PA system for a good 15-20 mins.

don't think airport staff & singapore airlines staff & passengers will be very happy to see you if that is the case
