Could this cap off a season that included a 22-0 loss?
Yes!!
what did I say? simple dominated, OUTPLAYED IN EVERY FACET OF THE GAME...have fun watching us in the world series
Un-fuckin-believeable!
History has been made! In the best way imaginable for the Sox, I'm sure
Beating the Yankees - with A-Rod - in Yankee Stadium in convincing fashion
With help from the lucky bounce in Game 5
Despite the score, still a very tense game
Let's hope the Sox can ride the momentum through the World Series
So then we don't have to hear about this curse anymore
I wonder how much Derek Lowe will be pulling in with whatever team he goes on to sign on with. Surely more after tonight.
congratulations boston.
congrats to the red sox.
now come on astros!!!
WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...
Good game new york, you guys played your hearts out, but now its our turn, fuck yeah HOLY SHIT, BELIEVE, JUST BELIEVE!!!

im rootin for the astros now. 2/3 of my fam are in htown and it would be sweet to talk some mad shit to them again.
Ortiz is named ALCS MVP
but as Shamez said, he really should be co-MVP with Foulke
How long before there's a street in Boston named after Francona, or a statue of him?

and who is King George gonna fire?
this kind of shit only happens on xBox.....Red Sox, one....
M-E-T-S METS! METS! METS!
yankees should suffer..a salary like that and cant win in the playoffs..HAHAHAHAHAHA WHOS UR DADDY
I'm really, really disappointed that Foulke didn't get at least co-MVP with Ortiz. I think MLB dropped the ball on that one.

congrats to the red sox yes this is comming from a die hard yankee fan
it just goes to show you that money cant buy everything its about heart
brown is a guttless piece of shit and torre should have started el duque and worked around that stupid move and steinbrenner dident even make his speech or fire no one yet lol
yanks had the chance to win in games 4 and 5 but choked
and the last 3 games the only yankees who came threw in the clutch were the orginal homegrown players from the start of the great yankees of 96 threw 2001
was jeter and bernie, not so much posada tho
and the new players who come threw in the clutch were cairo and matsui
arod 25 mill a year to ground out wat a stiff
but boston fans could enjoy your moment for now i would to but you guys havent won the world seris yet
and if you win and still say the yanks suck this and that
if boston could win it 4 times in 6 years then you have proved something
until then let the curse of the bambino live on
1918 !!!!!!!!!
This Red Sox team isn't really built to win year after year like the Yankees of the 90's and the Mets of the 80's were (thanks to cocaine, the Mets had a dynasty that never came to fruition...). This team is built to win in 2004. Anything after that, who knows? The only guy almost guaranteed to return is Varitek. Other than that, it's a crapshot. They need to win this year.

Wow! Bean town is going bonkers!
I wonder how many are gonna go to work/school today?
Great series, congrats Boston!
***MORNING REVIEW***
What a game - I give Boston all the credit they deserve. Last night's preformance was outstanding baseball. Lowe pitched a wonderful game. Damon made up for every at bat earlier in the series. There isn't much more to say. Time for a new thread to give Boston the credit they deserve...ESPECIALLY from me, the DIE-HARD Yankee Fan.
All homeruns last night were seeing eye shots. They were all driven with power and none of them deserve the cheese poke shot that Bellhorn had in Game6.
Since these boards are so great when it comes to Baseball it's time for the Penant Race. Who will it be? Cards vs Boston, Astro's vs Boston. Who knows!
Congrats Boston, your our daddy. Go Astros!
Yanks won't be that great next year... too much wasted space with overpriced contracts. Any team with Pay-Rod on it is gonna fail. It was weird liking a guy who I absolutely hated for many years (I grew up in the Seattle area so I know about that guy). I guess that's the era we now live in with so many players changing teams.
25 million to Brown and Vasquez. Yippee!!!
80 million left for Giambi. Thanks for letting me watch Tony Clark, the human windmill.
They are in desperate need of some younger talent that comes through the farm system. Unfortunately, they have one of the worst minor league systems.
Yanks make trade to get a new frontline starter for their future... they trade Ted Lilly for Jeff Weaver. Doh! Lilly makes the all-star team and is left handed. Weaver can't handle NY. Yanks trade to get new frontline starter for their future... Javier Vasquez. Grand slam... DOH! Schilling goes to Red Sox instead.
Whose the next Cashman future ace that is going to implode?
Kevin Brown is a piece of crap! Please go somewhere...
Pitching, pitching, pitching, pitching... that's what wins championships. Not A-Rod's baby swipes at the opposing pitcher.

I wanted to also give credit to Boston where it's deserved. They clawed their way back into a series no one gave them a chance to win. They pulled through in the clutch and their pitching staff was amazing from starters to bullpen, in the last 4. As much as the Yankees have won in the past, it's hard for me to be disappointed. We can't win it every year. But I'm glad I'm a Yankee fan, even though my whole family supports the Mets. Ha!
