Woooooot! My best Labour of Love by FAR! Unfortunately I think I only saw a handful of you. Got in about 12:45 with my friend (Much thanks to Pat. You rock. Guest List was closed but they let us in anways. Thanks for the G/L) Headed straight to the bar, hung out in KH for a while listening to Marcus Shultz, but I knew my friend was itching for the jungle room so we headed there. HOLY CRAP! I found my new love. I was there all night. Caught the end of High Contrast, and all of Andy C. OFF the fucking hook! holy crap! Awesome part of the night, a local MC whos friends with my friend was watching me dance and was mc'ing in my ears as i was dancing. Totally pumped me up. After Andy C was done, we headed to Sky bar for some cooling down because as normal the Drink was a human sauna. Made our way back down to orange room and then to KH after that, but after all that time in the jungle room, it just didnt do anything for me and we ended up goin home. Thnaks to everybody who made my friend feel so welcome, he had a great time! Finally booked it around 6am to unsuccessfully try to sleep for work the next afternoon.

I guess you called him "Fahad" like 5 minutes b4 me, cuz when I told him that he sounded like he was getting pissed off about people calling him "Fahad"!! But ya that guy in the white shirt, that's the one!!! OMG there are two fayrarees out there!! Watch out for the fake one, he might really get annoyed at one point and punch someone out while they call him Fahad!!!

LOL that reminds me of X-Men with the two Wolverines...classic! And maybe you were thinking that the OTHER Fahad missed A&B...now it makes sense!

My Detroit Crew and I had a blast at this year's LOL. No complain from here except way too crowded in the Guv and to HOT. Didn't mind hanging around with all the Toronto Hotties molesting me.

Two Thumbs Up from WU!!!

See you guys again next year.

Ok heres my attempt at a proper review when i heard about the party a month or 2 ago i knew FOR SURE i was gonna be there, i also knew my friends would be flaky and i had no idea who i would be partying with. with that said i bought a single ticket, put it in my drawer and figured out my plans for the night the day of the party. The day of the party my buddy Anthony who i met in Montreal @ Swirl ( armin and blank and jones played that night!) called me and asked me if i needed a ride, very nice of him, we decided we would go a bit earlier to avoid the anxiety of waiting for this crazy party, and more importantly the MASSIVE line.

We get to the club at 10:30 and we wait in line for no more then 10 min, Beuatifull what a great start to the night, make our way inside and say hello to many friendly faces. Anthony takes me for the tour since this is my second time at guvernment and first all access party. WOW WAS I FUCKING IMPRESSED WITH THE SIZE OF THIS FUCKING PLACE. at 12 me and anthony split up and i make my way to the Guv to see digweed.

I beleive this was the most crowded part of the night, dancing like a bean pole to digweeds set was still enjoyable because he played every fucking song i came to see him spin. THANK YOU JOHN. After digweeds set i made my way to t he KH for most of the night. BLank and jones and armin were incredible!

heres the important part of my revieew, and it has nothing to do with the music, the venue, or how crowded it was etc....

i went to this party, without "going with someone specific" yeah sure i got a ride with anthony, but we didnt leave together, or party together for most of the night, alot of my friends from my area and school were there, hell even my bro and his couple friends were there ( they are 17) and also all the TA's. so no matter where i went, i was with someone, i went to this party alone, but i wastn alone, i was with EVERYONE, with the crowd and part of the party. something i have never felt before.

just a steller time!,

ps. thanks laura for the ride to the subway, and Max for the offering a ride back to the hill!

p.p.s i think thats my longest review ever.... even tho it should be longer and more elaborate, i hate to write :P

so as i was walking through the drink to head up to skybar some guy abruptly bumps into me....i look up to see what the problem is and it is none other than dubfire.....at this point i begin to point to my yoshitoshi at pacha shirt in a very excited manner....he than proceeds to give me a high five while i ask him if they were going to rock it that evening and he conveniently replies "oh yea!" and goes on his way. and you know what, i can't fault the guy, he didn't lie.....to say they rocked it would probably be an understatement.....to say they ripped a new whole in guvs arse would be slightly more fitting.

My buddy's review. Note Markus Schultz. What has The Guv done to him!

Mark Olivers set was great, when we first got in it was pretty empty, comparing the size of the place to people, but our group of 4 just started dancing as soon a M.O. played a track that we all recognized and didn't stop until he was done playing. He shook both mine and Dittoalex's hand and signed out poster, we also met a friend a M.O. in the crowd, there should be a pic of him, really nice guy. He told us "Mark really appreciates this kind of stuff".

Marcus Schultz(sp) was good, but he just didn't hype me up, his set was pretty damn good, but I just don't feel it unless the DJ is pumping you/crowd up.

I didn't know what to expect from Gray Area, I was definetley different from the music they were playing earlier but in a good was also, it changed things up, and they really impressed me, they got the party hyped well. It was when the lead singer jumped out into the crowd right where I was standing, got to take some pics of him too.

Blank and Jones rocked the house, hard tracks all night pumping everyone up for Armin, great set also. Ditto and I needed a break from all the energy to save for later so we chilled in the Orange Room.

Armin...what can I say, fucking amazing!Everyone went crazy, chanting Armin and such. Great selection of tracks all night, he played well known shit like SOS, Till There Was You, Air For Life, Zocalla, Communication, Shivers, Silence ect. with everyone (mostly TA's) singing in perfect harmony. I was front and center for like the first 2 hours of his set, then chilled and relaxed, listend and soaked in the night by the chill out seats by the bar, then came back for more, and didn't leave untill he finished. While I was gone he signed Ditto's poster!! It was like 8:30am I think and he was still playing and they shut the power off on him and according to other people he screamed something like "Oh come on!" they promply turned it back on. Then the crowd went wild he played some more then came back for a second encore. Around 9:30 he was finally finished. He's a happy guy, amazing interaction with the crowd, he kept smiling and motioning to me, but I guess a lot of other people said the same thing. He looked like he was having a great time, dancing, motioning when the break is about to drop to the crowd and everything. When the show was finally over we were walking out when I look to my left in a secret door and I see armin, with about 10 people around him, I try to shake his hand but he didn't see me, then I yelled while he was walking away "Armin, we came from Cleveland to see you" he turned around looked and shook my hand

Amazing time overall, we were at possibly the best show in The Guv's/Kool Haus history, saw a little bit of the Canada side of the Falls, and went to a Serbian festival where I saw a bunch of my friends from Cleveland.

I found armin's set to be very powerful. He does have amazing interation with the crowd. I was moved by the performance [almost] spiritually. I believe he ended his set with The Silence before the encore..i couldnt help but let out a loud FUCK YEAH!

We also stopped by the canadian falls on the way home.. I was pretty cracked out from being up for several days, but after showering in the mist of the falls...I felt at peace.

This was a great experience. One I will probably remember for the rest of my life. And I'm espeacially glad I was able to share it with two great friends <3. Not to mention, a few thousand other enthusiastic party-goers

peace

Nalin & Kane - Open Your Eyes (Markus Schulz Vs. Elevation Remix) -- OMG Classic Oakey Choon
Three Drives - Greece 2000 (Mark Norman Remix)
Kuffdam and Plant - Summer Dream (Paul van Dyk Remix)
Inertia - The Chamber

Air For Life - Mark Oliver ended with this

Communication - Always wanted to hear it live

Play it Louder - Owned me for the 3 ASOTs in a row it was on, I still believe Armin played it because I requested it on his site

Till There Was You - "Everybody Sing!" Played twice in one night, both times the TA crowd went nuts singing it.
