so much for bandwagons. Sonics starting to stink it up. i would think with lewis and allen back, things would look up, but nope.
as for the rest of the nba, it's going to be interesting to see how chicago, orlando, and cleveland sort out after falling short of the trade deadline.
Derek Fisher named President of the NBA Players Union. of all current and former basketball players, why Fisher? before him it was Patrick Ewing. the Union seems to moderate expectations on who their leader is going to be.

Yeah the last one Patrick Ewing said during the negotiations that "we need to make a lot of money because we spend a lot of money." Probably one of my favorite quotes. I use that each year during my reviews but for some reason my company isn't buying.
best wishes to shaun livingston of the la clippers. that fall he took was real nasty last night. prognosis today says he will be out the rest of this season, and maybe next seasaon with 3(out of the total 4) ligaments and a dislocated knee. ouch. science has done wonders to drew brees and daunte culpepper(*cough*) with their serious injuries in the past, so hopefully the same wonders can happen for livingston.
Dallas unbeaten in February.
Franchise-record only 65 pts allowed against Minnesota.
Dirk 4 MVP!
quite frankly, i am impressed with dallas right now, and fear them in the playoffs(being a spurzzzz and hornets fan). they have that championship "i don't need to score 100 points to win a game, because i can hold you under 80 points" swagger. detroit and san antonio had that same swagger, and it got them a couple of trophies on the shelf.
just saw this pic in today's espn Daily Dime
bobby jackson and pargo look like kids compared to lebron's hulking physique.. rofl
Like I said months ago. If Dallas don't win this year, Cuban will be buying another team
Dallas kind of reminds me of the Colts..they might win it after a few years. I really dislike the mavs, and I am not scared of them yet. Winners win in the playoffs.

| Originally posted by Rockabye They won the true NBA finals against San Antonio last year, so they allready proved they are winners. And the team is a lot better than last year. And seriously... it's impossible that the Mavs loose 4 out of 7 games. |

MONSTER win tonight by the kings over the lakers. this win puts the kings out of the cellar perhaps for a playoff run but also confirms my suspicion that the lakers are not nearly as good as their record is. those mvp chants quickly turned into boos
interestingly this is the lakers first division loss.
Mavs are 50-5 since their 0-4 start. Without that ugly start, they would be on pace for the best regular season record ever.
san antonio and dallas starting to really turn their engines on this month. both owning respectable winning streaks, and winning with tough defense. by the way these two are playing right now, i don't think phoenix has a chance against these two teams. if they were matched up against either one of these two in a 7 game series, i give phoenix 2 games max.
however, i can't deny phoenix at the moment, because they have the best road record in the nba right now. that will be a big boost for them come playoff time.
amazing how the lakers loss to the kings earlier was their ]1st conference loss. this could be something useful to acknowledge if the lakers and suns are paired up again in the playoffs this year.
my bandwagon team sonics still only 5 games behind for the 7/8 spot. it could be anybody's spots as 8 teams are vying for 2 spots. i still have hope for you guys! well, chances have reduced with ray allen down and out with his ankle bummed, but i still have faith.
i am just shocked in what the knicks are doing right now. whatever isaiah is doing to the knicks right now, it must be illegal. eddy curry and starbury are starting to play consistent. and note the word consistent. these two never tried to break a nail in the past. they're still winning with david lee down and out, their surprise 6th man.
look behind your rear view mirror guys, because the toronto raptors are only 6 1/2 games behind detroit for the 1st seed, and 2 1/2 behind cleveland for #2.
to tell you the truth, looking from top to down the east , detroit, cleveland, washington, toronto, chicago, indiana, miami, and new jersey, that is not a good collection of teams to talk about. the way the playoffs are stacked in the east right now, detroit is probably going to runaway with this, because they will sweep the unmotivated nets, beat toronto, and sweep cleveland to the nba finals.

| Originally posted by LeopoldStotch oh i didn't mean they will end up in a tiebreaker for the PAC division. i think they will be playing each other in the 1st round of the western conf playoffs. after today's match, i think this series is going to be the most entertaining of the 8 series. phil jackson knows how to stop d'antoni's run-n-shoot offense, but unfortunately, jackson does not have the proper equipment to execute his plans. |
