Arsenal full-back Armand Traore has joined Portsmouth on a season-long loan.
The 18-year-old Frenchman is highly-rated at Emirates Stadium, and will look to gain valuable first-team experience during his time at Fratton Park.
Traore's switch to Harry Redknapp's side follows Arsenal's surprise capture of experienced defender Mikael Silvestre from Manchester United on Wednesday.
The attacking left-back, who can also operate in midfield, recently penned a new long-term contract with the Gunners.

Originally posted by Ian yeah. Downside is that city now have 5 very good centre backs, ie. Dunne, Richards, Onohua, Ben-Haim and you could maybe count Corluka, alongside Kompany.
Yeah, especially when they don't seem happy with garrido at left back and lack depth in other places...
I honestly think we'll see Corluka moved infront of the 2 centre backs (dunne & kompany) with richards at right back & ben-haim at left back where he's ok but not awesome. He'll be hammered by wingers like ronaldo milner ashley young etc but against teams that lack pace out wide he'll be fine.
shevchenko to ac milan.
real madrid have given up on keeping robinho and are letting chelsea take him.

Originally posted by Intuition Yeah, it must have been frustrating. But he's still only 22, so neutral fans (like myself) can still have hope.
senderos might be of to milan
everton sign Lars Jacobsen
pavlyuchenko signing for spurs for 12M - that should be berbatov's que to go to man utd.
Looks like Riera is close to signing for Liverpool. Not sure what I think of that one yet. Think I need to see him playing for us before I make a judgement
Done deals:
Marcel Jansen from Bayern Munich to Hamburger SV for 8 Million .
Alex Silva to Hamburger SV for 6,5 Million .
Nearly done:
Thiago Neves to Hamburger SV for ~8 Million .
Pablo Zabaleta completes move from Espanyol to Man City for 6.8mil which to me signals the end of Corluka and also says Hughes doesn't have much faith in Onouha, someone I'd love us to get in & sign, even on loan.
Bolton sign Ebi Smolarek from Racing on loan with 3million deal agreed if he impresses, with Ricardo Vaz Te going on loan to Racing. Expected to free up the space for Zigic to return to Santander.
Thiago Neves now officially in Hamburg.
wow what a seson this could be: Rost - Jansen, Mathijsen, Alex Silva, Boateng - de Jong, Jarolim - Neves, Trochowski - Olic, Petric
Atletico reject 8million bid from Bolton for Maniche
Corluka joins spurs
Xisco to Newcastle from Deportivo la Coruna
Riera deal should be completed to Liverpool

Originally posted by sleepydragon why? sounds like you need to do your research man city are the richest club in the league now they put abramovich to shame.
Why do u say that?
Chelsea wasnt anywhere near regular CL before abramovich came in.. he bought in a good coach mourinho and poof.. he won the premiership first season.

Originally posted by chesco I'd hardly say I need to do research, it's been on every sports channel or newspaper in the country over the last 24hrs. I couldn't care less about the investors, they still won't make the champions league for years to come, so the move only goes to prove robinhio has one motivation.
