Let's face it..even if Deadmau5 chose other people's tracks, and threw in maybe one or two of his own, there would still be an "I hated the Deadmau5 EM" thread..the complaint of him using his own music is a total cop out..it's just another excuse to spit out more bullshit posts, hoping that he'll retaliate.

"Faxing Berlin was okay...but OMG I'm sure he got the rest of his tracks on the top 10 charts on Beatport, etc."

I'm sure 80% of you that have posted negative feedback did it purely for shock value, keeping your fingers crossed that Deadmau5 would reply.

I would be doing the same thing he is. Laughing all of this off. Its not like people on this site dictate the direction of electronic music anyway, so why would he care?

What do you want him to do? Apologize for not playing what YOU (all 10 or 15 of you) wanted to hear? Did you really think Pete thought he wouldn't play some of his own productions?

I guess since most of you think his music is pure garbage..Armin van buuren sucks now (he's played a few Deadmau5 tracks live AND on ASOT),

I guess any other popular DJ that has ever played a track by him sucks now, according to most of you.

This thread reminds me of being in 7th grade again.

Well anyway, EM is always has been a good soup of different music for me. That one was just one steaming pile of rhino's tick shit.

This has probably given most people on this site a valid reason not to take on board anything you have to say.

Sasha never played that. The only Deadmau5 production he played was "We Fail" for a short period of time and a BSOD production. Those tend to be the least favorite productions by Deadmau5 played live, which lean more towards untypical from him and of an acquired taste.

Are you sure? I'm willing to be corrected, but it sounds very Sasha to me. It's even full of the tunes he was blagging around the same time, not just the odd one, but a load of them, all after Ironman.

I haven't been following the whole deadmau5 thing too closely but there are a few people here on TA that seem more than a little overwrought about his success.

Again, I'd really like to know what success has to do with music discussion.

Anybody who criticizes any successful musician is really just jealous of the success and can't possibly have any good point to make about the music itself.

Depends on your definition of success, but most people's version of success is easier attainable when you have free publicity/promotion through music discussion online.

I don't think it does, but a lot of people hate out of jealousy (not saying that's the case for everyone here). I like Deadmau5, but I believe that those who are here saying they don't like it, wouldn't like it regardless of who put that mix together.

If I were to have put that very same mix together, and played it out elsewhere...a lot of people here would still think it sucks.
