anyways yes i agree we need cops, but even their priorities are shuffled. Sure if theres a murder, civil disobedience and traffic infringer they are right on it. But to help you with theft, forget about it. you might as well do your own policing. There are plenty of cops in this city just lagging around doing nothing, i dont think we are in a shortage.


there were 3 arrests in total out of a thousand person protests. This was nothing. Have you seen what happens in the states during homecomming games?

What a stupid post, pretty sure no one at CZ was interrupting traffic and causing public nuisance and stopping the city flat in the downtown core. The people in CZ weren't causing anyone trouble, the Tamils are, go ahead protest wherever you want, just do it off the roads and peacefully.

What you should do is start a facebook page and get all the people who've gotten tickets together and start a protest. Everyone should gather on the 401 at Mississauga Road and walk eastbound down to McCowan.

I wouldn't be surprised if their strategy was to annoy the hell out of everyone to the point that the public is forced to lobby the government to address the issue or prolong a public nuisance in the city.

Like someone said earlier, they can protest on public streets as long as traffic is allowed to pass. Notwithstanding any other crazy highway hijacks, that could potentially mean reducing a 4 lane major thoroughfare down to 2 and do so indefinitely.

if Canada could do something about it, we fucking would.....Canada is always there to help out in any form, be it military or peace keeping......these imagrants should learn there are other factors at play.....not to mention it's not like we have the most powerful army anyways......

Lol, you are too funny, yeah your right cops don't do anything in this city, you moron. Cops show up to domestic disputes, robberies, you name it, just because they cant get to everything right away because of man power issues, issues like what probably arose Sunday when the Tamils took up 75% of the police force for something they shouldn't have done. If a cop is doing traffic duty and is called in on something else, he doesn't stay there to catch more speeders.

If it was me I would have started at the front and thrown them all in cuffs and arresting them, or at least gave them a ticket for disturbing the peace, you know, to meet my quota.

Quotas are part of the job, plus they don't give tickets out to people not breaking the law. You think they enjoy giving out tickets, I am sure they like it just as much as a janitor loves cleaning the toilets that you just deuced in.

Ummm, I can't believe people still try to use things like "morals" and "social conciousness" as a valid topic of discussion in this western capitalist society.

The fact that the police are forced to give tickets and cut down enforcement relating to crimial activities so they can help pay their salaries shows you how bogus the system is.
