His first Montreal gig back in 2006 was stellar which was at Lobby Bar on Papineau. Happy I went to that, quite a fun night to say the least. After I think his other gig was at Balroom on St Laurent back in 2008. I was sort of wasted that night, so I can't remember much other than his massive controller
Lets see one of his gigs got cxld because of the rain but still made it to the premiere of Berlin Calling. Last summer we missed out on him because of the whole passport ordeal.
So all I have to say is... what he did on Sunday is what he didn't do years ago.
I still had a fun time... was nice to see him again.

yea I keep hearing absolutely contradictory reviews of pauls set, every one who leans more towards prog then tech are saying he played amazing, and the opposite from the others.
let's put it this way. He played all his hits so it sounded commercial. Still good music though...maybe not the right booking for Mutek ?
Right before Paul started....thousands of people poured in at piknic, out of nowhere. It became a totally different party...more mainstream than Mutek. He played his bombs and these guys were asking for more.
Celebrity DJ syndrome! Appeals to the masses!
Still a great day at piknic nonetheless, people are bitching because it was a Mutek day, and Mutek is for the elite IDM sound.
elitism 4 lyfe!

EDIT LOL

Oh ya! You're playing as well! SOLID line up!
This is definatley one of the bette.r line ups this summer
should be one of the best piknics this summer
Do you people recommend to take the subway rather then try to drive down (considering the f1)?
What do you mean "you people"
Just kiddin, I hope the parking's not too bad. I'd hate to have to drive all the way downtown if the lot's full due to F1.
Heading up shortly. Hope the weather up there is as nice as it is down here.
its pretty lush atm
subway! All the way....its gonna be a nightmare getting out of there...and you'll end up in one of the shitty lots.
Park close to Berri ~ Metro it in
Subway, obviously.
Went to piknik today, music was amazing so was the weather... Is it just me or was it the most cracked out crowed you have seen? Saw twice people beeing taking away by emergency people..
lol
im sure it was cuz they drank too much booze
Two persons were taken to the hospital...so you saw both haha
New lineup announced for Sept. 6th!!
OXIA
KIKI
ELLEN ALLIEN
SASCHA FUNKE
Remembering how awesome was Sascha Funke last year (and how I secretly love Ellen), this could very well be one of the best Piknics this year.
