that scene with jesse at dinner. holy fuck.

yeah, loved it too
This last episode was the best in the season
"I am in the Empire business"
but I am still rooting for Walt in his ascendancy to evil
I think the next two episodes will make or break the legacy of the series
but I am impressed with the new thrust of the plot being emphasized
my favorite show of all-time without a doubt
i still think somebody big is gonna die this season

The dinner table scene was good. I thought the exchange between Walt and Jesse in the living room was even better.
Great episode.

Ok. But having planted the seed for something that would show its effects three (?) seasons later is pretty cool if you ask me.

If Jesse dies, I'm pretty sure Mike will just shoot Walt, sell the precursor to Phoenix, and go back to being a doting and loving grandfather.
I think Mike is about to go - I believe it is the final act that will connect the dots for Hank. Also, having Skyler know now that Jesse is Walt's partner I predict she somehow lets it slip. Read an interview yesterday on the AMC website and Dean Norris (Hank) said that the second half of the final season is Hank vs. Walt (words to that effect - below).
Q: Hank is back on his feet more this season. Is that a shift you've welcomed?
A: Yeah it is. The next thing for Hank to do is find out about Walt -- so they've had to find ways to keep him out of the action -- but now with Hank back on his feet a bit we're seeing the endgame coming around the corner.
Jesse isn't going to die.
If anyone lives "happily ever after," it'll be him.
I think that by now people should know that the writers know exactly what the viewers are expecting to see. They hint as if they're going to go there and then switch it up to something totally unexpected. It's fun to guess what will happen next, but experience should show that we rarely have any way of actually knowing.

Anyone else feel that what happened to Mike was kind of anti-climactic?

It just felt so thrown in that in any other show I would say "oh he's not dead, he'll pop back up when we're not expecting it" but that kind of trick is so beneath this show. Just felt a bit of a hollow end for such a prominent character.
