Nah, puking is not normal. Plus I run the track, which is nowhere near the douchebags on the cardio machines.

Also, I didn't realize some of you were such meatheads, lol.

I don't mind it for the most part, just some days I dread it. I always jump on an elliptical or arc after hitting the weights for at least 10-15 minutes.

Posted by Zild on Mar-20-2009 14:26:

I don't lift weights. Only cardio! Going to start soon but only for core and endurance not go get ripped or put on much muscle mass.

Posted by nchs09 on Mar-20-2009 14:31:

almost every fucking day except monday and friday, there are futbol games on, either european leauges and championships or latin american leauges or championships...

so i always run to a new game.. keeps things fresh.

If your trying to lose fat, weights will get you there much quicker. Just integrate 30-45 minutes of cardio afterwards. You'll hit your goal really quick. That way you still are burning fat hours after u leave the gym unlike cardio alone.

Not really trying to lose anything just trying to get my running to about 7min/mile all day long.

I'm already good on my pushups and situps for the AFPT just suck hard at running.

Cardio first thing in the am on an empty stomach works well too.

vouch for awesomeness

a friend of mine got me to change my workout schedule, which was due to happen anyway since ive been lifting for about 2 months again. we did an all chest workout today. he's a beast and i kept up with him in weight and almost in reps, pretty proud of myself

Posted by tubularbills on Mar-20-2009 20:49:

ran 2 miles again - more pullups; more dips; more arm weights.

i'm mainly focusing on my arms and shoulders for now. running gets my cardio in; and helps keep the legs in good shape - but want to kind of get the "guns" a little bigger. nothing ridiculous ; just a bit more than they are. so we'll see how things go. i really want to stick to a MWF workout period. but with upcoming shiftwork and changing schedules, that might be hard to do.

An excellent bicep exercise is hammer grip pull ups. You get a major pump doing 3-4 sets as many as you can do.

what exactly are those?

Posted by Excess on Mar-20-2009 21:01:

hammer curls are when your palms are faced inwards (hands at side) while curling.

i LOVE doing supersets of:

regular curls
hammer curls
incline curls (curls on an incline bench)
