^^ huh?

what is everyones favorite and least favorite muscle to workout

favorite : shoulders

least favorite : back

Posted by Orbax on Jun-08-2004 05:39:

the back is so much fun!!!

Posted by Radagast on Jun-08-2004 05:58:

My least favorite exercise is bent over or lying face-down DB laterals for rear delts...

It just frustrates the hell out of me.

Posted by Orbax on Jun-08-2004 06:07:

could just do seated rows with the bar instead of the triangle, itd be less stressfull on the shoulder itself

Posted by Radagast on Jun-08-2004 06:24:

My problem isn't the stress on my shoulder...it's the fact that no matter how correctly i'm doing the excercise, my rear delts never feel blasted from it by the end of my last set. Not even a little most of the time. Luckily there are several other excercises I can to that isolate the rear delt more easily.

I enjoy working all bodyparts as long as the exercises are effective enough.

Fave: Chest

Worst: Legs

Legs are such a pain in the ass as they wear out your entire body.
Chest always feels good as it buffs you up instantly, till you deflate of course.

I run 3-5 miles a day...i rather train for my marathon than work out with the weights like I used to...

Posted by Orbax on Jun-08-2004 15:27:

I used to hate legs, but they swell up so huge and feel so powerful when you lift. Then I started seeing how much of a difference strong legs made in life. From hitting the bag to running to rock climbing, have powerful legs has made me better at all of them. not small changes, HUGE changes. I like working out incline flies because the last rep I can look in the mirror and see the perfect seperation of bicep and tricep and it just looks awesome.

biceps are fun to work out too because I get about 30 veins in each arm to pop out.

hate : calves!!!! never change!!!

Posted by Floorfiller on Jun-08-2004 15:31:

i like to work out legs because i hate people who only life shit like chest and arms...its just my way of laughing in there face...

besides...like orbax said...legs give you sooo much power. i don't care how big your pecs are, if you got shitty legs i'll kick your ass hehehehe

Posted by Orbax on Jun-08-2004 16:02:

that is referred to as the bar stool physique. It only looks good from the waist up...

I always laugh when I see guys like that; it looks ridiculous. I love doing squats, well actually that's a lie, they're fucking painful, but I love the results they yield at any rate =P

I agree. Too many people forget about their legs. They bulk up their upper body and forget about their legs causing their calves to look out of proportion to the rest of their body. I do realize that a lot of people have a hard time bulking up their calves.

yeah its hard to get good calves, but most people don't put enough effort into it. they do respond...you just have to MAKE them hehehe

Posted by Orbax on Jun-08-2004 16:18:

my calves are ripped and you can see each half of the calf and then each perfectly distinct muscle of the 3 running down the outside. just not big. its all that running and climbing I do. burns em right down !

Posted by Floorfiller on Jun-08-2004 16:33:

i'm pretty happy with my calves...they usually fluctuate between 17 -17.5 inches. i don't think i want them to get much bigger than that. like i told you before man...you need to use more weight when training them if you want them to get bigger.

Posted by Sean Walsh on Jun-08-2004 16:33:

I've always been lucky with my calves and I guess legs in general, probably from playing all leg sports when I was young. I think without doing roids though it's pretty hard to put on any large amount of mass to your calves; having em ripped is good enough for me. Now and then I'll see a dude with tree trunks for calves and be jealous though =P

Posted by Orbax on Jun-08-2004 16:36:

damn scottish people and their large calves!

hehehe i HATE those people. especially like when you see fat people that have big calves...you know its fat, but you can't help be angry

Posted by torontotrance on Jun-08-2004 16:40:

at least they got something to build on.

its not that...its just i've killed myself trying to get bigger calves and it just comes naturally to some people..that's where the jealousy comes from...

like i've always been really jealous of my dad's calves...their huge...and he doesn't work out...

You guys usually wake up and work out w/ out eating or eat and then work out?

Was told that cardio is better on an empty stomach but it's kind of a bitch when you want to do weights after cardio and you have no energy (since you haven't eaten).
