Well, The Craptors are 0-6 so far.

Good game though. The Raps took the Supersonics to overtime, just to lose. Charlie Villanueva had a good game. So did Mike James and Jose Calderon. (Where did they come from?)

Lots of young guys and the veterans aren't doing a good job. Jalen looked like he's resigned to a bad season.

Dunno if the Raps fans are willing to sit for another rebuilding year.

RAPTORS WIN! RAPTORS WIN!

Finally...

who'd they beat?

edit: WHOA, HEAT? Nice...

I guess Raps are back to the same old... they suck when playing against average teams, and kick the shit out of the playoff contenders.

Posted by slingshot on Nov-29-2005 02:06:

the raptors probably won't win this game against the mavs....but at least raptors games are becoming enjoyable to watch...they're really starting to compete and stay in there down the stretch!

Posted by Sly_Guy on Nov-29-2005 02:28:

yeah compete^

we still won't win 30 this season.

Posted by Yohan on Nov-29-2005 03:16:

A heartbreaker tonight as Jason Terry hits a runner at the buzzer to beat the raps.

The Raps are very entertaining to watch. It's just they lose all the time.

Trade Jalen for a centre like now plz.

^^^
no one's gonna take jalen's contract......but next year, the raps have the salary cap to do whatever the fuck they want.

Then and only then will I pass judgement on babcock.

Plus the 2 first rounders they have next draft also...

I gotta give Babcock points for having the balls to do what he's doing though.

Babcock needs time to grow the team. They are a young team and in the next couple of years I think they will be a strong team. They finally have a coach that will be around for more then a season. Bosh has a huge upside and I am sure they will do everything they can to resign him in 07-08

I'm not quite as big on bosh's upside. A solid player, but he wouldn't be getting the boards and points he's getting now if he were on any other team....That being said, it doesn't mean he's not a solid NBA player, he's just not someone I'd build my team around.

But what I do like, is all the options the raps have for improvement come next season, like it was mentioned before, 2 first rounders and a ton of salary cap space. So I'm almost cheering on other teams this season to beat the raps so our first rounders will be high first round picks instead of the 8-20 picks we've had of late years. It's also why I'm gonna be watching the college season with great intensity this year.

Posted by Yohan on Nov-29-2005 04:18:

I'll say it again. Raps need a centre who can play defence. Raps are losing a lot of winnable games right now because they don't have that presence near the basket.

Posted by Yohan on Dec-08-2005 03:51:

One UGLY game as Raps lose again. Too many easy buckets missed, too many easy buckets given away. Kobe had only 11pts but did have 9 assists, but when weak Lakers bench own, you got problems.

So disgusted after 3 quarters with Lakers up 19 pts that I just shut off the tv.

Posted by jrmacca on Dec-08-2005 06:55:

this was one fugly game.
james for 3
miss
james for 3
miss
james for 3
miss

hmm...something wrong with that?! what did they shoot? 39%?
rebounds, nonexistent, turnovers, too existent. can we go play atlanta and jersey again

Posted by Yohan on Dec-22-2005 03:50:

Raptors win 2 in a roll on road. First Orlando and Houston tonight.
Orlando and Houston had no heart though.

Posted by Yohan on Dec-31-2005 02:45:

Good comeback win by the Raps after being down by 16 in 3rd quarter. That's 2 in a roll... again.

Posted by MarkT on Dec-31-2005 08:38:

imagine this...

Rose is dealt for Penny. Since Penny's contract expires this year, Raps can go shopping in the off-season.

*Ben Wallace* up front with Bosh and Charlie V...backcourt of James and Calderon.

fingers crossed

Posted by Yohan on Dec-31-2005 08:45:

Well, Raps do need another point guard as shown right now, because Martin is not getting it done. At least he tries to run plays better and shoots less stupid shots than Palacio.

And that big defensive centre... Magloire sounds nice. He'd love playing for Toronto too.

Posted by Yohan on Jan-04-2006 02:40:

3 wins in a roll. This time against the Hawks who does suck, but it's still a win. Tomorrow might be 4 in a roll against very winnable Orlando Magic.

Posted by slingshot on Jan-04-2006 02:43:

what an ugly game to watch....jeeze

It's official.....the raps are on a winning streak

That being said 33.3% of the raps wins this year are against the Hawks

Posted by Yohan on Jan-05-2006 02:23:

121-97 Raptors spank Magic for their 4th win in a roll. Everyone played well tonight. Hell, even Loren Woods got few buckets. And Bosh was on for less than 20 mins entire game. Crazy I tell you.

Next, Fri night against Houston, another ver winnable game.

Posted by ChemEnhanced on Jan-05-2006 02:27:

I am getting more and more excited about the Raptors. I'm not a huge basketball fan but I couldn't help but watch the game over the Rose Bowl

The Raptors are definately a true TEAM. You can just tell that they enjoy playing with each other.......I mean play ball together.

Posted by Sly_Guy on Jan-05-2006 02:41:

I'm telling you.....they'd better start losing soon or they can kiss that lottery pick goodbye

The next crop of rookies isn't anything special so I don't think the top pick will be anything great. Toronto needs to start picking for position and not just the best available. As it already is toronto has a lot of people under contract.

They never do until the regional tournaments.....Give it time, there's always quality in the top 5 of the draft.

And picking the best available is always best. Drafting for position only leads to heartache [EX: Hoffa]. The thing is, if you draft for the best possible player, you can trade away at that position for what you need, whereas if you draft for position you get stuck with stone hands rafael arujuo
