Why, because we're not falsely arrogant, naively unaware and/or blindly obedient to authority?

Or is it simply because we're always figuring out new ways of bringing public attention to something that the corporate media is complicit in covering up?

When you have a corrupt, blatantly distorting and/or grossly under-reporting corporate media that refuses to even mention the pleas of the 9/11 Widows, sure. Why not? Some people seem to want to do whatever the hell it takes to get you and the rest of the herd to snap out of your comas. I don't think getting on a loudspeaker is all that bad. At least it's something different.

I still think that WTC7 is very important especially since it wasn't hit by an airplane.

Going by the evidence presented in this video, it appears that the explosions began in WTC 7 before the other two towers ever even fell!!! This is the same building that housed Rudy Guilliani's Emergency Command Center as well as the Securities & Exchange Commission (which was in the middle of investigating the Enron scandal)

Bill Maher kicking some ass!!

lol This is just great. At the same time I think Bill should discuss this once in this show and have a debate about it.I highly doubt it tho.

only the troofers think there's a debate still to be had. why give credence to a bunch of nonsense and internet detectives?

quote:

Denialism: the employment of rhetorical tactics to give the appearance of argument or legitimate debate, when in actuality there is none. These false arguments are used when one has few or no facts to support one's viewpoint against a scientific consensus or against overwhelming evidence to the contrary. They are effective in distracting from actual useful debate using emotionally appealing, but ultimately empty and illogical assertions.

Examples of common topics in which Denialists employ their tactics include: Creationism/Intelligent Design, Global Warming Denialism, Holocaust Denial, HIV/AIDS Denialism, 9/11 conspiracies, tobacco carcinogenecity denialism (the first organized corporate campaign), anti-vaccination/mercury autism denialism and anti-animal testing/animal rights extremist denialism. Denialism spans the ideological spectrum, and is about tactics rather than politics or partisanship.

We believe there are five simple guidelines for identifying denialist arguments. Most denialist arguments will incorporate more than one of the following tactics: Conspiracy, Selectivity, False Experts, Impossible Expectations/Moving Goalposts, and Argument from Metaphor/violations of informal logic.

and really whats the worst that could possibly happen from having a simple debate? what do we have to loose here?

it's "lose"

by engaging in a debate (of sorts) you give credence to the movement. simple fact is- there is no debate. a few internet detectives do not count the subject has been argued to death. only the crazy tinfoil hat brigade still see anything here.

then there's the matter of the truth movement's inability to debate properly. just search for the popular mechanics V loose change children video. seriously, dylan avery accuses the guys from PM of being "liars". what kind of intellectual commitment is that?

or go and search for the history channel edition that covered it. what happened afterwards? the troofers complaining that various theories/evidence were ignored. you cant please these people, anymore than you could please bush that iraq didnt have any WMD. its a farce and some people have such a deep need to believe it that any "debate" is a pointless exercise.

Posted by The Arbiter on Oct-23-2007 08:07:

Goalpost moving is the one I see the most. Here atleast, especially from 9/11 conspiracy theorists. You expose their bad logic in one area than they create a circular arguement in another area with bad transitional posts, making them look glaringly stupid. But dont worry lads! If you say it loud enough and post enough 'Video Evidence' we'll believe you eventually!

If you just stopped being so fanatical, letting your emotions control you you'd probably win some minds. But so far I havnt met such a conspiracy theorist. Perhaps because in essence, this theory requires such un-productive emotions and bad-logic to exist.

Over 3000 innocent people died on 9/11, the tolls for the bullshit wars started over "terrorism" is over 1 Million dead.

Yes people are going to get emotional.

F*cking geniuses on this board.

Posted by The Arbiter on Oct-24-2007 08:07:

Eh? This is about dis-creditting the government, not the war. Anyway, if your wrong your wrong wether your emotions are involved or not.

9/11 was the major gateway and continues to be the excuse for everything the US and shadow government (bankers, defense contractors, etc) wishes to get their dirty hands involved in.

Patriot Act, phone tapping, Homeland Security, rigged elections and soon to be internet clamp down all brought to you in the name of "TERROR"

Over a million people dead over bullshit is going to cause emotion especially when things do not look like they are going to get better anytime soon.

The government if you wish to call it that discredited themselves a very long time ago, now that so many innocent have died did you really expect the majority of people not to be pissed?

Open your eyes.

but the debate isnt about this. if we were arguing about that i think you'd find a lot of people's opinions would be quite different.

you can't use this as any kind of evidence. political opportunism and incompetence does not equal complicity.

Posted by culorut on Oct-25-2007 03:15:

It is exactly about this, all of it in fact. Because your shallow mind cannot comprehend it does not make it false.

man, you should really take some night classes in logic or principles of argument etc

Posted by culorut on Oct-25-2007 03:37:

How about you grow up, pull up your socks, stop playing video games and causing shit on internet forums. You might have time to go outside and learn something.

The world is much different once you travel and see first hand the many cultures, something that no night classes can help anyone with.

It's funny but from my perspective it appears as though he's the one who's actively questioning the world that we live in (as opposed to simply taking the picture that's been painted for us as absolute fact.)

It's okay, colorut. Don't take it personally. Not everyone wants to be freed from the cave.
