and this thread will be just like our fantasy league to me

| Originally posted by Shamez214 Well... the Royals also don't draft well. They have VERY few top prospects, even after trading away some good players. Look at what Billy Beane got for Mulder and Hudson. Carlos Beltran easily should've netted a top 20 prospect, a solid young regular, and a low level pitching prospect. |

| Originally posted by Member of X Yeah they're terrible!! but the Knicks spend by far the most money to be the 2nd worst team. Plus, they are in New York. It's slighly easier to understand having a harder time being successful in KC. NY is a big basketball town. It takes someone special like Dolan and Isiah to fawk that up. Knicks overall the worst but we'll say the Royals as the definitive worst for champions of baseball. Football.... Texans for not drafting Bush. |
Not to be outdone by fellow Cuban El Duque, Soler gets a complete game of his own - a 2-hit shutout!
They also handed Brandon Webb his first loss of the season

Melky allowed another inside-the-park HR
A's sweep the Yanks in the Bronx, with wins over both Johnson and Mussina
and Mets get a sweep on the same day
Uh oh... the Mets are on. I knew it would happen eventually this season. With everyone hitting plus everyone pitching well... look out. They're a really, really good team.
HI EVERYONE!!! ![]()

Pedro gives up a home run to Kris Benson
twice this weekend, Mr. Crutch had what would've been the game-winning hit, but the Yanks pitching staff wasn't able to hold the lead
Wang is a quality starter. A good 3rd starter. The problem areas in the Yanks pitching staff is Jaret Wrong and Shawn ShakaCone. Both guys were awful last start and can't go past 5 innings everytime killing the bullpen even more. Scott Proctor "the Ass Doctor" isn't exactly the shutting the back door in the bullie either. I'm praying Dotel is 85% of his former self when he comes back within the next 7-10 days. First and foremost, Yanks need another solid starter and probably another ok bat. Nothing like Soriano, please, where they have to get rid of Phillip Hughes or something. I don't think Cashman will do that though as he keeps saying he won't.
Mets have already won the division, nothing to worry about there.
Just mind-blowing how the Braves bullpen can strike out Papi and Manny back-to-back, but then give up 6 runs (and the lead) after that
They've been doing this kind of thing so many times that it's not funny anymore
Jose Reyes hits for the cycle!
But Wagner blows the save, and the Mets lose
david wright and jose reyes... the two young bucks of the mets are definitely holding their end of the stick!

my random 2 cents of fenway park:
Fenway Park has a lot of history, the Green Monster and a great intimacy factor since all the seats are close to the field. That's about all the great things about the park. It's really a shitty place to watch a game otherwise. Unless you're 5'4" and weight 110, the seats will kill you. Not all the seats face homeplate, so get ready for your neck to be sore. The bathrooms get nastier the closer you are to homeplate.
The Fenway Faithful who pack the game day in and day out deserves a better fate than to cram into Fenway and suffer while they watch baseball.
