System was good for prog and techno....i never enjoyed the backroom cos it was too tight and breaks in the front room was alright but still not as good as orange room breaks...gone are the days :'(

^^^great venue for breaks....but im not a booty breaks fan...theres only so much i can take in a night of booty and funky..

Krafty Kuts and A.Skillz Halloween night.

We have been trying to make this show happen for over 4 years. It will not happen again for a LONG time guaranteed. That comes direct from Krafty kuts himself. Krafty is releasing a new album early october and agreed to do the special 3 hour set with A.Skillz as a favor to us. They don't play together very often even in the UK anymore. I can't stress how one of a kind this will be.

Freestylers will play the same as they have for the last 2 years electrohouse and tearout breaks. Its what they do now. We asked them a while ago to play an old school set for us and the reply that came through was: we dont do that anymore. We dont feel it. What I loved about the freestylers was when they were with MC Navigator and Top Cat. The new sound doesnt embrace the mcs like thier former sound.

yep..seems like the kinds of the early 2000 breaks all like playing and producing electro house and "tech funk" now

sold. Freestylers couldn't possibly top their Orange Room party and the rest of the Destiny lineup doesn't really interest me. any hints on the venue though?

How did the Fort Knox Five night work out? I didn't know anyone else who was going, but am now bitter at myself for not just showing up solo :\

It was a lot of fun. I didnt get to hear as much of jon as I wanted to but the people were going off. He started bumping and it didnt go off with the circa hipsters so he switched to slower bpms and the crowd went off. The venue was fun I would have liked to have better sound for it (next time .

glad it went well!

on that note...for anyone who enjoys the funky side of things, I really like this set (even has some A.Skillz in there to stay roughly on topic )

Sick mix hadnt heard that one. Fort Knox 5 are always at the forefront of funky beats. Constantly producing. They have ANOTHER new remix album dropping in October.

As for Halloween its gonna be a heck of a show. Krafty Kuts has personally told me he is planning some very special treats with A.Skillz to drop on us in thier 3 hour set.

he killed it, like whoah. definetely shook me from my funky breaks slumber. i didnt mind circa folks at all, some of them chicks were really digging the sound.

i just wish somebody pointed me to the skyy vodka lounge lol
