I would say that if you're not on the list and you wanna come, come. We might not be able to guarantee a seat, but I'm sure we can figure something out.

Posted by Kamka on May-18-2008 15:57:

I added the last three people onto the list. So, now we have 37 people coming in total.

Hopefully we'll be able to make it...

i was at Royal Meats today (kipling) and..it was good, but just not what i expected. it did not spark my senses like the pljeskavice in serbia do. and its cuz of the meat. everything else was fine. the meat, fine too, but FARRRR from the kind back home, and of course, different country, different cows, different product,..different experience. i remember my brother in law from serbia saying that the meat here is so tasteless compared to over there. he was here first time. ate at mr. greek or wutever. i was infact arguing like "nahhh its not that bad", but i can see what he means now..

anyway, most of you wont know the difference cuz you never tried the balkan version:P
so i hope you have fun. i dont know if ill be going though. where and when is the dinner happening?

Seriously? Read the first post, dude!

My experience with meat has been the opposite. It's way easier to get good-quality meat here than it is in most parts of Europe. More likely, the problem is that you went to Royal Meats, which has always been reputed to be OK but not really great.

I don't know much about this place, mind you, but the uncertainty is half the fun, right?

Actually it occurs to me that there may be a lot of other people who just skip to the last page of the thread, so it might be a good idea to update the actual thread title with the venue and time.

Kamka?

Hey there, I've tried to change it, but for some reason the change is only apparent when you click on page 1 of the discussion.

Oh well...

Errr just a quick question. Is this actually accessible by subway?
I really don't want to have to take a subway, then a bus/streetcar so if it's something like that, I won't be coming.

Otherwise, could we please specify on the first post what subway station it's at etc?

Thanks!

Bloody hell... that's quite a trek for me Don't think I'll be able to make it after all. I have to take the bus down from Oakridges, then subway, then bus again

**edit**
I thought we were going to have this downtown

Posted by rabbitjoker on May-23-2008 16:45:

Yum! Looking forward to this!

Nowhere downtown to have it.

Sorry.

Perhaps you could meet one of us downtown after it's over & we can bring you a take out order....although no guarantees naturally that it wouldn't be partially consumed in travel, or guarantees of proper temperature etc. But hey, 1/2 eaten is better than nothing right?

yeh it's quite a bitch to get to for us northerners. for me it'll probably be almost a 2 hour ride. 30 min viva to finch, 25 min ride to bloor, 30+ ride to kipling (if i recall correctly), then another 10-15 on the bus.

Posted by Kamka on May-23-2008 17:53:

It will be a big ride for me too, as I live on the other end of the green subway line... but I don't mind!

Since Robert is not coming, can I take a ride with you Digi (from the Kipling station, as I think you've mentioned you'd be picking up people there)?
