Haha we'll meet up for a sandwhich or 2! Knox can too

Posted by Special K on Apr-09-2010 19:55:

demf n00b here

so the two hotels that are directly across the street are booked / unavailable as is the doubletree where a bunch of you are staying?

given that those 3 options appear to be gone what would be the best alternative? how far is the official demf hotel (The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit) from the actual festival grounds?

???

Nice. You're coming?

Just google map'd things... Westin and Doubletree look about the same distance to Hart Plaza...

not exactly.

thinking about it ... kinda shitty timing for me on a few different levels tho so I dunno if I can make it happen.

Does anyone know when the entire lineup is typically released by? I don't really recall from last year. To be honest this year's lineup isn't doing much for me, there's a few killer names I'm pumped for, but last year's was wayyyyyy better overall. Maybe I'm not excited simply because there's way too much in Toronto demading my attention haha.

Posted by DPetey81 on Apr-09-2010 23:34:

ntually

Kinda sad that Mr. Carl Cox is in Italy that weekend, as I was really hoping for a closing set by him. Still, I think the lineup is pretty solid all around, and I'd think a few more major names will still be announced.

For those still looking for a spot downtown Friday -> Tuesday, search Kayak.com and you should find a couple doubletree rooms, ren cen, westin, hilton garden,etc...
..... it doesn't look like anything is left at these places if you try Saturday -> Tuesday, though.... which is kind of perplexing.
For example:
http://www.kayak.com/h/hotel/detail...-130-149&idx=58

Also, I'm still waiting on a few people to get back to me, but I might eventually have room for one or two more at the doubletree if somebody needs it... cost cutting ftw! stay tuned.

Yes you read the name correctly the Max Graham! If you say youve never heard of him then youre either only kidding yourself, or have not been a fan of electronic music for very long. Originally from the UK, Max moved to big cities such as LA and NYC before making his home in our Canadian neighbors in the late 80s. Since, he has toured the world, produced over 50 original tracks and remixes, as well as created his own label, Re*Brand Records. With his own creative style and sound, Max is a master of blending multiple genres including: progressive, house, techno, trance, disco etc., guaranteed to keep you moving. Aside from bringing you Transport 4 back in 2001, international tracks such as Airtight, I Know Youre Gone ft. Jessica Jacobs, and Owner of a Lonely Heart, surely ring a bell. Or maybe its his outstanding new single, Sun in the Winter ft. Neev Kennedy?! With over 2 decades on the scene and countless accomplishments within the industry, the man is a living LEGEND and we are honored to welcome him back to Detroit.

I don't get it. Max Graham has about as much to do with Techno as Lady Gaga does with Opera.

Chacun son got.

I didn't book, organize or throw this party... I just informed you of it.

And, just because it's not up ur alley, doesn't mean it's not up anyone elses...

And Sherif is a good guy, a nice guy. Good for him to be playing before Graham...

I would rather Max Graham be playing DEMF itself over Benassi the past two years IMO...
